Complaint Review: Ccl-light.com Contractors Choice Lighting

I decided to order from this company because they advertise themselves as a family run business. Well it's clear to me now that this is a deeply screwed up business with serious customer service issues.

Basically I received my order, but with parts missing. One look at the packing slip and I can easily see how they messed it up: items that I did not order (but which they tried to up-sell me) are listed with a quantity of zero, while items I did order and which were supposed to include ground stakes and/or other parts, were not included because the packing slip is incomplete and disorganized.

I reported the missing parts on their website right away and got no response whatsoever. A follow-up claim two weeks later also went unanswered. I finally talked to a customer service rep on the phone and was told that they would begin processing my claim. The rep explained that she would have to fill out a claim form and fax it to me to sign before she could submit a "pull sheet." That was a week ago and still no fax!

Incidentally, when I called them I ended up speaking with three or four different people and was placed on hold over a dozen times. Finally someone took my name and number and said they would call me back...which of course never happened.

The parts I am waiting on are valued at less than $25, but they are parts I paid for and I can't install my lights without them!

After reading the many, many complaints about this business, I'm starting to realize that I made a big mistake ordering from ccl-light.com. This business continues to give me the run-around and I will probably never get the parts I need.
