Complaint Review:
CCR & Associates
This so called company of which they are not, continuously calls me 4 to5 times a day, and I do not answer them when I do not know who or what they are wanting. This has been going on now for over 2 1/2 months now, and I am absolutely fed up with them and all of their shenanigans. They are nothing but a bunch of losers, who cannot & do not want to go out & obtain a "real" job, that would be a foreign concept to them. There is never anyone there and they never leave a verbal message(like folks with manners) of which they have none. They are nothing but a bunch of idiots/morons & need to stop calling me; as well as a lot of other folks. They are scam artists and they threaten people. I have no debt, and owe no one anything. They call me first thing in the morning, and @ 8:45 at night. I just want to be left alone and do not want them calling, and I need help from someone who can do this!

How to stop collection agency harassment for a debt that is not yours:

Send the collection agency a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt (do not use regular mail) stating:
Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I am requesting that you cease all communications with me about this alleged debt. This is not my debt. This letter is being time stamped via Certified Mail and I can confirm receipt. I will pursue each subsequent phone call from your office with a $1,000 per incident penalty for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations
Next time they call, read the following statement:
Pursuant to [your state] state law, this is to inform you that this phone call is being recorded. If you do not consent to being recorded, you need to terminate this call. Pursuant to [your state] state law, continuation of this phone call after officially being informed that it is being recorded implies consent to be recorded. This recording will be used to pursue Fair Debt Collection Practice Act violations in a court of law.

You arent getting scammed. Pick up the phone, IF THIS ISNT YOUR DEBT as you did say, and tell them. Verify what information they have on you. If its not you, it wont match, then they MUST remove your number. Not answering is only telling them they have the right number. Pick up, be cool, and when they realize they have the wrong number, you're phone wont ring again. They do make mistakes. They cant remove the number unless they know. Got it?

Save yourself madness and answer the phone to find out what they are calling about.
It could be valid and if not, tell them you are on the do not call list and to never call again.
