CCS First National Card ripoff Las Vegas Nevada
Today i recieved a 'credit card' in the mail with a credit line 'UP TO' $6500!
YAY! So... i read the letter, and learned that it is only usable for purchases from the 'CCS catalog'. All that is required is that i call and activate my card to learn my credit limit.
Further reading uncovered that there is a $250 activation fee, and a $99 annual fee, that they will waive if you spend over $700 on your first purchase. sounds like a ripoff already huh?
So... i jump online just out of curiosity to see what they have in their 'catalog' except all i can find is a boatload of ripoff reports!
Now... again out of curiosity, i call the activation number, and spoke with Rachael... i told her i had accidentally thrown away my activation number, and asked if they were online... her response was 'no, we don't have a website yet, no.' Then i asked how long has CCS been in business... her reply "We've been in business since November of 1996".
WOW, been in business for 7, almost 8 years, and they don't have a website yet?! falling behind the times a bit aren't they!? so she says that without my activation letter, she can't activate my card, so she needs my number off my card so they can send me a new letter... i begin to read it off, and halfway through i just hung up so it would sound like i got cut off.
Beware, this company is wicked suspect. I can't believe they've been in business since '96!
watch yourself.
