My son decided to try out CD Earth. After the first set of disks, he wanted to stop them from coming. I called to cancel the service. I was told to expect an immediate refund of the on my credit card, and if I sent the latest set back, I would also get a refund for shipping them. Sounded fair and civilized.No more CDs arrived. BUT... A few weeks later I found a new charge of $59.95 on my credit card account.

Checking back, I realized I was never given the credit I was promised when I cancelled the service. I was now out of about $120. When I called this time, I was given a royal run around by the customer service representative. This time she informed me that because I did not return the old set in a timely manner I would get no refund at all. Sending back the CDs was not a condition of cancelling the service. She said it was and I had to continue paying - even when I was getting nothing. What if I send you all of them back - even the ones that were supposed to be free. We'll send them back to you, she said, because they are not on time. Why do you persist in charging for what I am not getting, and do not want. We went through this a few times. When I asked to speak to Amberly's supervisor, she informed me she was a suprvisor. I then asked to speak to her superior and was told they were not there.

I should have checked out the company, and not given access to my credit card nuber. They can sneak charges on there at will, without warning and without any product or sevices requested or delivered. Such are the perils of disclosing one's credit card information to crooked companies.
