Complaint Review: CDI Cars

CDI Cars, Mike Lombardo Bought a car from them, wont pass inspection, they wont help because i live to far Victor New York

I bought a car from Mike in March 2009 that i found on Autotrader.com and drove the 340 miles to Victor NY from south Jersey to pick it up. The check engine light came on half way home from there. So next day i called Mike to report this and he said to get an estimate for repairs and he would likely mail me a check for the repairs.

Months later check engine light still coming on after 2 shops and 5 or 6 visits to Subaru where each time they kept my car for 2-4 days leaving me without....I gave the estimate to mike and he said he couldn't do anything for me unless i bring the car back to him to look at. Legally he needs to make the repairs as you cant sell a car unless it passes state inspection. He knows I cannot bring the car back for repairs as i will have to drive 340 miles or so back to Victor NY and get a train out of Rochester to Manhattan then to philly then be out of a car for however long it takes to repair it then go pick it up and drive it home....This is poor business practice.

I would not recommend these people. All he had to do was pay my Subaru dealer for the repairs and it would pass inspection. They knew there was a problem with the car before i bought it and they cleared the light so it wouldnt come on untill i got home. Subaru mechanic verified that when he pulled the cades on the computer...

After talking to Mike he agreed to pay me for the repairs so the car will pass inspection. I have made the repairs and emailed the invoice and am now waiting to be reimbursed. I am satisfied. -Jeff
