Ceccaldi Couteaux Theft of knife Porticcio France
Some years ago, I bought a Ceccaldi Knife. by my carelessness I damaged. I wrote to them, and they offered to repair it. I sent it off. they acknowledged receipt proposing a charge of €50. So far, so good.
That was in July 2014. I enquired about progress in August 2014. Simon Ceccaldi confirmed on 20 August 2014 that he had received it, and that the extra shipping cost would be €16.00. I accepted this.
Since then, despite repeated enquiries - nothing. It would be nice to think that this was owing to oversight, but given the repeated refusal to respond, it is a reasonable conclusion that Simon Ceccaldihas decided to simply keep the knife.
If this is so, then Simon Ceccaldi is no more than a common thief.
He makes beautiful knives - but never ever return one to him. The evidence is that you eill not see it again.
I would be delighted to have a reason to take back these comments, but for the present they stand. Simon Ceccaldi - on the evidence, is a thief.

I am pleased to report that the above has proved entirely untrue: my knife has been returned (admittedly after some time: hence the irritable report above), in pristine condition, and with a spare as an apology for the delay and no charge.
Simon Ceccaldi is an honest man, and a gentleman, and I am more than pleased to take back all the statements above. He comes with high praise from me.
