Cedar Street Grill They did not pay my fiance for his time worked, and now they are out of business. Lansing Michigan
My fiance worked for the Cedar Street Grill on 03/14/04 he went to work and at the end of the day they told him they were going out of business. They also told him that his check would be ready on 03/15/04. He went to the establishment on that day and they told him to mail his name, ssn, and address to a P O Box #. They told him his check would be in the mail that following Friday. It is Wed 03/23/04 and he still hasn't received a check and there are no phone #'s to reach any of the management staff.

One way your fiancee might make contact with the principals of the defunct business is to obtain this information through the Health Department and the governmental entity that issues business permits / licences. If the building or restaurant was leased, the building owner would perhaps be another source of information.
.
A PERSONAL contact with someone legally associated in documenting the existance and daily activities of the business might be a viable short cut to the money.
.
It's most likely the former operators are in semi-hiding at this point. It would be a sure bet they left wholesale suppliers twisting in the wind also.
