CedarBrook Lending Group SCAMMED OUT OF $1,071.00 DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY Fort Lauderdale Florida
I was contacted by a Mr. Adam White representing Cedar Brook Lending Group on or around October 20, 2008 offering me a $5,000.00 loan. He informed me that he got my application off their website. Problem was, I never applied for a loan with this company. I told him that I was searching for a short-term payday loan for an emergency and that I did not need the burden of a $5,000. After speaking with him for a long period of time I decided to proceed with the loan. He sent me a contract with the terms of $117.86 for a period of 48 months with an interest rate of 6%. I signed the contract and returned it to him. Later on that day I received another call from Mr. White and he told me due to my credit report I would have to send a collateral payment of $1,055.64 in order to secure the loan. I told him if I had that on had I wouldn't need the loan. I told him I would think about it. I did some investigating on them, I checked the BBB site and googled their phone number and got nothing. Their were no complaints about them at this time.
On October 30, 2008 I sent the collateral payment per his instructions via Moneygram from a Walmart location per his instructions to a Lindsey Utley in Kelowna, Canada. This was only after I got reassurance from him that this was on the up and up. The next day October 31, 2008 I received a call from a Mr. Stanley Denton, Mr. White's so-called supervisor indicating that the loan fell through because the lender did a secondary evaluation and in order to secure another loan with an different lender I would have to send another collateral payment in the amount of $1,055.64. I told him that would not be happening and requested my funds back. He told me I would have to wait until November 24, 2008. I demanded he send me a written confirmation that I would be receiving this refund and he sent me a fax dated December 1, 2008 confirming that I would receive 1,271.00 on November 24,2008. This was supposed to be a reimbursement for the 1,050.00 I sent them plus the fees of $21.00 and an additional $200 for my troubles. I called him back on November 3, 2008 after receiving the fax because of the date discrepancy on the documentation and I did not hear from him until November 8, 2008 when he sent me another fax with the amount of the refund being $1,071.00 I called him again because this was not the original promised amount. He sent me another fax dated November 12, 2008 with all the information corrected.
I have been attempting to contact them since Monday, November 17, 2008 to ensure that I would be receiving my funds on the promised date. All my calls went straight to voicemail on Monday and no one has returned my calls. I tried calling them on November 18, 2008 and the phone is not in service and the website is down. I have filled complaints with the BBB and the Internet Crime Organization since then. I do not expect to get my money back but I seriously advise anyone not to deal with anyone from this organization or anyone from these organizations -- Clearview Lending (www.clearviewlending.net) or Prime Lenders (prime-lenders.net), these are all the same people.

Google "Advance Fee Loan FBI".
You've been had.
The reason there's no BBB complaints against that company is because there is no such company.
The second you put cash on the counter at Western Union / Moneymart it was gone forever.
They tell you there's a refund coming to make you wait before filing police charges, an FBI complaint, Phonebusters and the RCMP (in Canada). That gives them time to finish up ongoing scams against other people.
You've been robbed. Tell the authorities.
Hopefully people thinking about taking out a loan from "online lenders" see these complaints and don't become victims.
