AXIS OF EVIL! Lowndown and Dirty! Celadon terminates unjustifiably based upon past and inaccurate info reported to DAC; I'm a new driver three years, over 100,000 miles, no accidents.Driver manager gave wrong directions, I followed in the middle of nowhere late at nite in fields, pitch black, turned truck about on someones property, no where else to go, t-section, looked like a commercial area, the people called the cops!! This is a preventable incident?? Twice I had a flat tire, and one moving violation that I disputed, but couldn't get to court because I was on another run!

Celadon reports to unemployment agency that I was willfully negligent driver or careless performance as a means for my termination and now my unemploymnet benefits are being denied! That clever of Celadon, because now they don't have to pay my $19,836.63 in unemployment benefits! So, I just get screwed!

I have a family, can't get hired with other trucking companies because of DAC, and I'm blocked from getting unemployment benefits of about $300 a week!! What does the Congress expect hard *** working Americans to do when these types of companies get away with this type of low-ball tactics?! How the h** am I supposed to pay my mortgage?!!
This is a real rip-off company!

Celadon and the DAC Report

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Fri, July 25, 2008

I must agree with the DAC report reporting of Celadon. I have recently experienced the same when it came to the report. My contract was terminated in July after months of telling them they were violating the contract under section 3 (inadequate miles to meet my financial obligations). They then canceled my contract stating I was violating DOT regulations when I asked them to show this to me they could not provide the documents . Once I tried to apply at other trucking companies there was a delay. One of the companies explained to me that they had 72 hours to reply to a release of information and also informed me that on my DAC report were three things. One I have no argument with the other two though are another story.
One is where a co-driver had and accident in my truck but this was put on my DAC. The other was where I had picked up at a company and the shipper required the tandems to be all the way to the rear and got stuck reporting this on my DAC as damages being $1.00 that's right one dollar. The shipper, as some do run the forklift in the truck at high speed with 45,000 pounds of freight and when you do this "dock-walk" occurs. The trailer was held in place by a hook (dock-lock) to prevent the truck and trailer from moving forward however, once the truck was loaded and moved from the dock (keep in mind that the tandems were moved to the rear prior to loading). i could not move the tandems back to the 40' mark. I tried everything from adjusting the brakes to bracing the tire and could not move it. A mechanic came out and could not adjust the tandems either. The shipper was Reynolds which is a contract that they hold and of course ya know crap rolls down hill so who got the raw end. Nothing was ever mentioned to me from the time this had happened until I found it on my DAC. I had asked Celadon about it the next day and nothing was said from any departments (the shop, Safety, etc.). No one had any contacted me to advise me on any actions taken until I found it on my DAC.

My advice...run. I have more to say on this company and will file a separate report on my experience. I do urge anyone who has worked for this company to please respond especially if you had tried their lease program.

Respond to this Report!
