Celestolite Ripped me off. Arcadia California
A few days before Christmas I was lured very aggressively into the Celestolite store at the Arcadia, CA Mall. The previous report pretty much mirrors my experience except that I spent $5,000 on a bag full of stuff that I did not know how to use. I went back the next day with the products, they had not been opened or used in any way, they refused to take them back and give me a refund.
I have been back three times now, the first time they told me to write a letter and they would send it to the owners, I wrote the letter which was silly of me as this is a franchise, they are the owners... The high pressure sales are disgusting, I was not allowed to leave until I gave in... I explained that I am a 76 year old recent widow, I am on two antidepressants, have a limited income and was extremely depressed due to the holidays.
They treated me so poorly, once they get your money they are extremely unpleasant and rude. This is the shadiest business that I have ever dealt with, the salespeople are apparently from Israel and very prejudiced. They all used the same script as if they were trained in a class on the art of the ripoff. I am so embarrassed that I fell for this scam.
