Complaint Review: Cellect Repair

I brought my Samsung S3 to Andrew, the "owner" of the company to get my phone fixed for a broken screen.  When I got it back there were dead spots on the screen and it never worked.  I called to get my phone fixed because he has a "warranty" he gave me the run around.  I went to another repair store and when they opened it up it was a NIGHTMARE inside.  They asked me if I tried to fix it myself.  

When I said No, Cellect Repair did it. More than 1 person in the office got a chuckle out of that.  They said they've received plenty of work from Cellect Repairs mishaps.  I can say I am not shocked.  I tried numerous times to call Andrew to fix my phone but he never picked up.  So I called from a blocked phone and he picked up and when I said it was me he put me on hold and never came back. I waited for 30 minutes. Called back and he never answered.  

On top of that, there was empty beer bottles and literaly a dozen pill bottles on his desk and the kid couldn't stop moving his legs.  In hindsight, I guess that should have been the first red flag.  All i can say is beware of this shady individual. 

Apparently I'm not the only one.  Hopefully this will bring the rest of the people he scammed out to voice their experiences.

Andrew James Moore has been delivering reliable, expert, and brutally honest service to myself, family, and friends for over 6 years now. He has a local reputation as an honest distributor of cell phones and cell service.


I have seen Andrew in public, away from work, and he seems to know everyone, and everyone seems to know him for his expertise in cell phone technology and service. I have never heard a complaint about Andrew's service, and I have sent many clients to him.

If you search for his accuser, Justin Eric Lanno, the first 3 Google hits are connected with ripoff report calling him a scam artist. Andrew's negative Google search hits bring up only this report, which has and will continue to be disputed.


Do not trust this report, trust Andrew. If you live in the Twin Cities Metro area, Andrew has the connections and certified expertise to repair any issues you are having with your phone or even to optimize your phone to bring it to its full potential. 

As mentioned in the subject, this complaint against Andrew is completely false.  He has fixed my cell phone problems on two separate occasions, both professionally and accurately.  I wouldn't trust anyone else with my cell phone support, hands down.

My name is Andrew Moore, Owner and Operator of the new company Cellect Repair LLC here to introduce Mr. Justin Eric Lanno of Meriden, CT

I hired Justin **** through a website called creativefolks.net . A website where freelance creative people can contribute their skills to others for a fraction of  your bigger company costs. We talked about a website for my new cellular repair business (Cellect Repair LLC) and came up with some ideas and then talked pricing.

Long story short (just kidding, its really long), over the course of 6 requests for additional money for the extra work - which I legitimately requested. there was no service or products awarded for my pay aside of a website my 7 year old neighbor kid could whip up in 37 minutes along with a fancy two color logo (the logo wasn't bad actually). I Never received flyers he promised, never received business cards, never received services implemented in the website he claimed were complete before showing me his 'work.

Now, I will say that in his defense, in the beginning he was very helpful with gathering and collaborating Ideas. To be honest, if this guy turned out to be the person he fronted himself as, I would be glad to consider this guy a good friend we even talked about possibly.  I am not sure about his motives, if he just sells himself short or has low self-esteem, but the personality that he portrays is a very warm and genuine person.

Despite our unfortunate encounter, I had an absolute blast bullsh*tting with this guy. Before I continue, Justin, I want you to know that I am writing this in full truth toprotect myself and others, not just from your actions but to assist in generating a little be more of consumer awareness against scamming, generally speaking.

After being suspicious of his little lies that were easily caught on to over the two weeks we worked together I got very nervous when he flaked out on me on the night of the launch (this is the 3rd night in a week of my time wasted). 

This is my first business and everything I have worked towards. I have put many months of hard all day work (and most nights too) after leaving Verizon Wireless, where I had spent 7 years of my wireless career, I decided to take my customer service and repair skills to a whole new level and work for myself. It was amazing. It totally blew up and people loved the extra services I could provide that other repairmen could not. Liquid Damage repair, Charging port replacement.. and I am soon to move into a great location in Anoka (Right by the shopping center on main street) - still negotiating rent though.

I digress.  After being upset with my claim to paypal after making me a website that, was honestly less for my professional business which was ultimately refused by paypal because of there being no physical product involved, he didn't stop there. (he was also upset about my post under the alias "nick" which can be found here [new window]-  (note the time stamps for both of these reports both mine and his along with the city and state)

He decided to attempt to socially engineer and intimidate me stating that Paypal froze his account of "$13,435 dollars." He wanted my help to reverse this "180" Day hold. So he issued a refund to me in hopes i would have the heart to level with him - Note that this is a "pending" refund - which can be easily revoked as you will see later in this novel. I called paypal to ask what was up with the pending refund and the gentleman stated that the funds needed to be verified in his bank account first, as his paypal account was depleted.

24 consecutive calls and 44 consecutive text messages later (Which I did not respond to because I am done with giving him the opportunity at this point to further engineer the situation)....Well, its been about 15 minutes since his last attempt to contact in attempt to coerce me into, paying him "at least half." - Because I am "stealing food from his daughters mouth."

I have the google chat log available for anyone interested in a good story and a very strategic conman. I do commend him for the effort he puts into this art. He is d**n good.

I hope at the very least this post that he has made for me will act as one more additional keyword website with his name and the word scam so that it prevents this from happening to anyone else.

Here's another just for the record. I have said what I felt I needed to say to protect myself, my business entity and hopefully other potential victims.

Here is the Raw, Uncut Google chat conversation cut and pasted into open office and copied here. I was really nervous at first because I didn't know what this guy was capable of...but after seeing that everything he states in this conversation didn't happen, I know he is no more of a cowardly scammer than he attempts to make me out to be. There was no follow through with any of his threats regarding authorities. Only more attempts to get me to send him more money through paypal while his refunds were in a pending state.

Below this conversation our text message conversations that I extracted using an application called VeryAndroid. The way it pulled data replaced me with 1 and him with 0. Unfortunately it did not include time stamps.

Two other websites he has claimed to be the developer of are www.planetfitness.com and www.mansellemedia.com

Another Side note: from the second I requested the flyer visual for proof of its completion, it took 10 minutes for him to send me this. this is one of the 6 paypal transactions was 105 dollars for 2 more (3 total) of his digital website flyers. They were each $35.

This will be my only rebuttal to Justin despite any his further attempts to discredit me and my business. If you are someone else who has been scammed by Justin Eric Lanno and would like to join in my lawsuit pressing charges against him for the entire amount of your money lost in his social engineering adventures, please get in touch with me. I have until wednsday to see if the total investment is refunded provided his bank account is able to provided sufficient funds for the paypal transaction. Then you magically got connected. I had also got confirmation on a couple sites you claimed to have been the producer of, that you were not. We got the through to the host gator guys and got into the site, everything was there except what you had stated you had been working on - the services section. I wanted to see a business card, flyers, i got nothing. You then tell me your going to be up all night and that I shouldnt worry cause were going to get some things done. I was busy for 30 minutes and requested you just hold on for a moment and when I got back.nothing, no call, text, no responses. I then realize i just dropped 600 dollars for a project that I had not seen move any further than what I mentioned above.
