Complaint Review: cellphoneshop.net

cellphoneshop.net/.com I did a search for battery using serial # from a battery I needed. this site popped up. I ordered the battery it said was the one I needed. A few days later, I received e-mail saying my mailing address was incomplete. Took a week to get that corrected. Battery I recieved was wrong one. I immediately went online to find out how to send it back because there was a 10 day money back guarantee. support 9 wanted to know what device I had, giving me no return info. Took several e-mails to convince support 9 that it did not matter what device I had, the battery did not fit, and I needed to return it. 10 days pass. original cost was $11.98. They now wanted to refund me $4.36 if and only if I could prove I mailed it to them before 14 days was up. Subtract my shipping costs from $4.36, too. I did new search, same # from battery. all sites had correct battery except cellphoneshop.com or .net, whatever it is. Will never shop there again. Glad it only cost me $12. Will pay closer attention in future. La Jolla California

I started a search for a lithiom ion battery that fits a wireless device. I used part number from battery. cellphoneshop.com popped up, ad said 1 hour left on sale. The battery in the picture looked the same so I ordered it. also had 10 day money back guarantee from order date.

I then receive an e-mail a few days later saying my mailing address was incomplete. I replied with the missing numbers and order was processed.

A few more days pass and I receive package in mail. I was a battery, only not the one that fits. There was no way to contact cellphoneshop other than e-mail, so I sent one. I did another search, now looking closer at different sites. cellphoneshop again said "1 hour left on sale, hurry and order". It was the same price as before. I waited untill next day, checked my e-mail and found a reply from cellphoneshop. support 9 wanted to know what type of device I had. It is now after hours and I could not get an immediate reply to my response stating that it isn't important what type of device I have, the battery doesn't fit and I need to return it.

I went back to cellphoneshop in an attempt to find the battery I needed. I was unable to locate it. I then proceded to do yet another search, this time to purchase battery from someone else, I still needed the battery. I placed an order with another company, this was on a thursday.

I got no reply from cellphoneshop until Monday. Again, support 9 wanted to know what type of device I had. At this point I was begining to get angry. I repeted that it didn't matter, the one I had does not fit and I need to return it.

Meanwhile, the other battery I ordered came in. (and it was cheaper) The next e-mail from cellphoneshop again wanted to know what device I had. I replied that the type of device I had was still not important. I know the battery would not fit because I had the device and the battery and it wasn't even close. I also said that if support 9, (the one I was communicating with the whole time) was unable to give me return information, I needed to be in contact with someone who could, that I was now very angry and did not want an exchange of any type, only refund.

Original cost was $6.99 + $4.99 shipping totaling $11.98. The next e-mail I received on the subject stated that since it was now past 10 days, they would use the 14 day return policy which would refund me $4.36, if I could provide a photo of postmark dated before the 14 days was up, and I pay to ship it back.
