On March 19, 2006 I had the misfortune and made the mistake of doing business with a Cingular retailer here in Jacksonville by the name of Cellular Express Plus. They are located in a kiosk in Regency Square Mall. Their sales rep lied to me by telling me that to get my carrier rebates on the three phones I was purchasing from them, (Moto RAZR V3 and two LG 1500's), that I had to get the Cingular Media Works package for $19.99 per month on my Moto RAZR for just one month. He said after that I could cancel it. The prices for the phones were identical to the prices on the Cingular website. There is no requirement to get any additional service(s) to qualify for a $50 rebate on my Moto RAZR and two $30 rebates on my two LG 1500 phones.

Furthermore, the sleazy sales rep loaded up my phones with over $150 per month in additional services that I didn't ask for, didn't authorize, and didn't want. I found out about this when I got my first bill from Cingular, a couple weeks after I purchased the phones. It was for $275.00. I couldn't believe it! Let me be very clear now. My complaint is with Cellular Express Plus, a dishonest retailer, not Cingular Wireless the carrier. Cingular CSR's were all very nice and helpful! Every Cellular Express Plus representative I had contact with were a**holes. They all (sales, management, et al) know they're screwing the customers. They just don't give a s**t. There are other issues as well but the main thing is that under no circumstance would I ever do business with them ever again.

I learned my lesson long ago. If you buy a cell phone, buy directly from the company, even if it costs more. They are more honest and you are only on 1 contract, not 2.

ok for Cellular express plus that might be ok but your dealing with cingular and there phones and if you look up the cutomers for the cingular corperation that are more profesional and look at there customer rating you'll see there are over 27 MILLION customers that will who visit time and time again..

So DO NOT EVEN for one second tell me anything about your lame 30 customers... compared to the 27 MILLION ...I'll bet there best friends of your or family members ...

from the 4 days i worked for the company i see how unprofesional there are and out to just sell and not worry about customers money and savings ..

My Boss got mad at me on the 3rd day for sugesting to go to the actuall cingular corp. for a better price on to 2 blackberrys compared to cellular express plus's rapeing plan .
I mean you can get on the cingular web site,2 blackberry pearls for with a 2 year plan for $99.99 with a $99.99 mail in rebate which makes the phones FREE..... At cellular express plus you'll get EACH phone for $199.99 with a $50.00 mail in rebate which equals out to $300.00 for both phones.. whats a better deal here hun????

I mean your there to help the customer.
Not make it to where they think the store is rapeing them...

Whats better make the customer be able to save money? or get your commition on a sale where you'll make about $4 bucks a phone on commitation..

I would rather have the customer leave knwoing he or she is in good hands with a loyal and trusting salesman...

Kady, You sound like an apologist for Cellular Express Plus. Just how do you seem to know so d**n much about my receipt and experience at CEP? First, everything I wrote in my first Rip-off Report is 100% accurate and factual. Second, if you're the sales rep that waited on me in the first place, you know d**n well what you said and did to rip me off in that sales transaction. Oh yes Kady, I have all the paper work you gave me. It's amazing you didn't include your business card in all the paperwork you gave me. Didn't want me to be able to say the name of the person that tried to rip me off to the Manager of that kiosk when I discovered what you had done? Well, when I did go back to that kiosk to discuss what had happened with the manager, YOU were gone! The Manager indicated he knew exactly who you were and that you were let go because of the same complaint from other customers. Third, The Manager, Fernando, said the way you wrote the contract up was wrong. Part was handwritten and part printer generated.

Now you admitted Mr. Apologist for CEP, that the company makes employees sell features to the "unwilling customers." Well that is exactly what did to me a*****e! You never mentioned a freakin' word to me about all those extra features and services. I trusted you you SOB! Don't you dare ask about listening to your a*s when you were explaining things to me. I heard every word you said. You're a con artist and you pray on unsuspecting customers. Are you proud of yourself? Repent and get a life. Terry

Cellular Express Plus may be a corrupt company in some ways but their not as bad as your stating they are. If you took the time to listen to the sales rep at our kiosk in the Regency Mall when they went over your CSS (Customer Serbice Summary, the paper YOU signed saying you UNDERSTOOD the cherges aquired on your first bill) then you may have known ahead of time the bill you were going to get was in fact going to be WAY higher than your normal bills. SO here are the facts lets go over them shall we?

A. On the second page of the CSS you signed, I hope you saved it so you can go look back at it after you read this and feel foolish, it shows an estimate of your first bill. It shows both the prorated fees your aquiring as well as your fees in advance for the next month. SO not only were you paying what your bill would normall be but also prorated usage fees from the day you signed your bill to that first day of the new billing cycle.

B. Your also paying a $36 activation fee for your first line and $26 for those next 2 lines you activeated as well which were also included on that bill you recieved.

C. You actually DID have to get the $19.99 in features for the first 31 days in order to recieve your instant and mail in-rebates on all of the phones and no there was no fees to take them off the lines afterwards but it was in fact your responcibilty to take those features off of the lines after the 31 day time period was up.

D. Those features that were "added on without your knowledge" were infact signed off on by you as well. Go look at the estimate of the first bill and you'll see them printed quite clearly and the costs along with them.

DO NOT go blaming your ignorance of details upon retail sales staff please. I used to work for the company thats so called full of lies but I asuure you that they are not. They DO though under pay their staff, dont pay for mileage on 66 mile round trips, pay overtime,, threaten jobs on a regular basis because your not meeting their expectations in an area that has NO turnover whatsoever, force sales reps to drive countless hours, numerous times, a week to pick up and deliver phones, and force their staff to sell features to unwilling customer in turn for their rebates.

Im not sure which of our kiosks you purchased your phones from but I assure you I know all of the companies current staff and that you are terribly wrong that they would try and pull one over on any of their customers. The only thing the staff can be blamed for is trying their best to get lower prices on the phones so more customers can buy them not only increasing our own sales but the number of customers actually able to afford the phones.

" thats the most ridiculous thing Ive heard come out of anyones mouth in a rather long time sir. Dont base your opinions of a whole corporation upon 3 people youve met at a KIOSK. I went out of my way PLENTY of times a day to make sure my customers were satisfied and I know d**n well that my fellow employees in my store and other local stores do the same on a regular basis. I was never an "a**hole" to ANY customers whether they had the most cheerful attitude in the world or such a horrible disposition as you.

Ive dealed with plenty of customers who come in the store yelling at me for screw ups on their bills from Cingular Corporate locations, plenty of "A**HOLES" who didnt deserve me giving them the time of day, and trust me sir they all left with a smile on their face. NOT ONCE did I ever have ANYONE complain about customer service in my location.

Do NOT generalize one store with all of the rest. You may keep you opinions but have a pleasant time waiting in line for 3 hours at a time when you visit a corporate location such as the one on st. johns bluff because if this is the attitude your going to maintian I honestly think they can do without your buisness in my old company.

I may have no respect left for the people who run the company but you can d**n well believe I will fight to the death fopr the sales reps and managers who have to deal with customers such as yourself on a day to day basis and are underpaid to do so.

SO please sir dont return to the stores but at least if your going to talk such slanderous filth about a company then please look at the contracts you sign and make sure to listen to all the details before opening your mouth.
