After reading advertisment in Los Angeles Times, I decided to investigate possibilities of using this service. After registered on Cenegenics website I received call within 30 minutes from doctor describing Cenegenics methods and asking for a deposit of $1500.00 with the balance of $1495.00 due 1 week prior to Executive Health Survey. This was second week of March 2009, scheduled EHS was 4-29-09. Within 2 days I was scheduled for blood test sample at my office. The same day I received package from Cenegenics which showed a monthly medical fee of $795.00 which had not previously been disclosed and notification of their 30 day cancellation policy which stated that if I cancelled the EHS within the 30 day frame of exam date that refund would be discounted.

Upon further checking and advise from my personal physician, I checked similar programs in Orange County, California and discovered same type of service for substantially lower rates.

I notified Cenegenics via email that I wanted to cencell and requested refund of the $1500 deposit. No response. After the fourth email asking for refund I was advised that NO refund would be provided.

This is not only illegal, unethical and bad business practices in that other interested parties might think twice before using Cenegenics services based on their actions refusing refund. I did offer to pay for the lab tech's time in obtaining blood samples and notified Cenegenics not to preform tests.

In their denial email they indicated lab results would available for my exam on 4-29-09, just as if I had never cancelled their service. Apparently they do not take No very well and instead resort to sealing monies they have not earned.
