I don't think your company was very funny today. Calling numbers that was made or recieved by my brothers old phone account, seems like very bad practice for collections. Since your company was such an a*s to my mom and hung up on me and lyed to my mom about what happened, you will pay. I'm informing my attorney tomorrow to see rather this is legal and if it is not then your company maybe at fault for a judgment agaist you. Besides where does you company get off by calling like this... "2:47pm march 29 2004... phone rings (caller id unavalible number)...

hello scott says to person.
person says "Hello. Is Grace there?"
I say to Lady "No she is not here can i take a message."
lady says "No, thats ok." and starts to hangup.
I say," HEY... How did you get my number?
lady says," Do you know Grace Henderson?"
i say, "yes, that is my mom."
lady says, " ok thanks "
and hangs up on me.
.
#1 don't piss me off

#2 don't make stupid phone calls

#3 maybe your company should make
a better name for yourselfs than
that of an *ss.

#4 answering machine voice matched

#5 invasion of privacy?

I worked for Centennial in the Fort Wayne market and left the company only due to relocation. I do know that there were times when the collection department would call the listed contact numbers for an account and had a few customers insist that they called someone not listed as a contact but rather someone listed on their bill. I believe that it is stated in the contract that they have the right to do so. That would be located on the backside of the side you sign along with other fine print. I was amazed at how little people actually took the time to read it. Most people do not care to take the time to read it and only when there is a problem do they want to dispute it. The fact still remains that the only reason the collection department would have contacted you in the first place is because the account holder was behind on their bill. That is another thing that amazes me.... people behind on their bills and then get mad when called to collect payment. People need to pay their bills on time and the entire issue would be avoided. I now work for another wireless company, one that is nationwide and not regional and let me tell a few things about bigger not always being better. If you are a Centennial customer, you can go to a number of stores, especially in Fort Wayne. They have more company owned stores than any other provider. You can pay a bill, change your plan, buy a phone, and sit down while you do it. They offer plans that blow anyone else away and offer coverage in that area that others cannot. They also have a great selection of phones that customers old and new are not required to pay for. Try that anywhere else. You can claim it is so bad, but here is the truth. You break your phone and have insurance.... you get another one that very same day...... try that somewhere else...... Your phone was shut off and you want it turned back on, it is on in a matter of minutes... try that somewhere else..... You want to call customer service and you are calling FORT WAYNE.......try that somewhere else. You go to another bigger company and have to deal with indirect dealers that charge you to take payments on your bill or tell you sorry they cannot help you with that problem and you end up on the phone waiting for 25 minutes to speak to someone far away. Centennial offers consumers a chance to not be lost in the shuffle. It offers the local community to go into their stores and get to know the staff and develop relationships.... try that with someone else.... when your phone is broken or your bill is not right. Centennial gives consumers an opportunity to not be lost in the wireless shuffle unlike most others. So, you keep your Verizon phone and the next time you have a problem have them give you an 800 number to call. Businesses need customers that pay their bills or at least call to attempt to make arrangements to pay it, not ones that lag behind and them blame everyone else for it. It also might help for future posts, if you improve on your spelling, because most of what you say is hard to understand. Good luck with Verizon, hope you never travel past Auburn because you are in ROAM.

Another call from Centennial Wireless

Where in your forms does it state that your collections are allowed to view the numbers called by your users?

I'm adding a link to my main web site to this page.

Just because your company called me again.
This time stating that it was your company and that they was asking for my friend that i talk to. This is not in good practice. This dum call was recieved by me on 4/19/05
at 3:00pm est. If i get one more call from your company, I'm goin to call the law into this as hurrasment.

#1 I don't like your company for several reasons and
this is one of them.
#2 Pivacy is in the law.
#3 If i had your company I would discontinue use of your sevice
and switch to another carrier IMEDITALY!!! or your pivacy would be at stake.

Does your company listen in on the calls as well?
where is that in your fine print?
Besides your company drops more calls then any service i know of.

I pay for my friends phone now threw Verison Wireless and it does not drop calls and does not brake up to where i have to have them repeat what they said, and thats a FACT!!
What a name u built for your company!
How about changing your name and revamping!!!

I'm sure that the last person will get an email about this. Maybe you should have checked the line where the voice matched. Listen, it was your company. You may not think so or maybe it was you. Don't say stupid things about what happened because it is a fact. I use to have service with your company years ago and I don't plan on comming back. If you want to know the truth about it. At one time I was thinking about it before this happened and so i went to my local store here in Marion, IN.

I walked in. stood there waiting for serveral minutes without anyone saying, "HI can I help you with anything" instead i walked out and thought to myself i'm not going to have service with a place that don't help there people!

So I went to verizon wireless. They helped me no problem. Anyways you can say what you want, but i know for a fact that your company sucks.
And for everyone out there that does use them,
be carefull and judge them when you walk in.

Well, as of today this is how I feel about that company and NOTHING will change my mind. Back to the top. I almost bet you don't go calling to many more numbers that was dialed out, from a cel-phone when it was on, anymore. If you call me, and you won't, I will be pissed all over again. Since mine is a cel phone and is not listed in a directory. Wounder how you got it.
da. Im done.

Is this a serious complaint?

First of all, it is stated in the contract that all information in Centennial's system is property of Centennial Wireless, that includes usage.

Second of all, do you have any real proof that Centennial is the company that called that day? Here is what you said:

"Besides where does you company get off by calling like this...

"
I can tell you right now truthfully that no employee of Centennial Wireless will call a number, ask for someone, and then simply say they do not want to leave a message. If they have a chance to leave a message, especially with someone, they do so, because they do not make those calls for their health, they are trying to reach the customer. Honestly I highly doubt that was someone from Centennial Wireless, especially their Collections Department. The next time you file a complaint maybe you should be sure of who is trying to collect instead of blaming the first company you are already upset with.
