beware of this place- I have been to this place for counseling....I pity anyone who has to go here with issues because these counselors...which is shocking to me will almost toss you around from one pesron to the next...i began with one counselor who seemed to have multiple health problems...so then I was contacted by a 'friend' of the counselors...go to go that person.. i went to her.. had a session she gave me her # and told me I could call anytime, and then tried to schedule another appt and call her but she did not call me back...several times.. I had a relative contact her and she still did not call back....so I went to another woman once...and had to try to reschedule an appt then was told...by her to go to someone else and that she did not feel comfortable dealing with my situation...this to me is very shocking that these people think they can do this to someone, a client, or any patient....I mean...what kind of messed up counselors are these people that they do this to a patient/client...can you imagine needing counseling or trying therapy only to get jerked around to various counselors...and ignored not called back...to me this is close to abuse or just wrong treatment....or mal treatment... the last counselor who did this to me, had already scheduled an appointment with me and even said to me "so do you feel ok coming to me" and I said yes...when I called back to attempt to reschedule the appointment she blatantly just cancelled on me and told me to go to another doctor... what kind of counseling center is this seriously and what kind of therapists are these....they seem to be trying to cause more issues for clients and not help them but seemingly reject them for no reason or make them feel rejected, and keep making them go from one person to the next and retelling their situation....as if this is some kind of a joke... terrible place and beware people needing counseling out there...I would like to list the names of the two female counselors who have done this but don't feel it necessary yet until I find out exactly why they did this or if there was any reason or motive behind this kind of really stupid and irresponsible behavior...

just want to list the names of the so-called 'counselors' at this place who I feel were very condescending rude, for no reason and basically picked on a 'client' again for no reason. People who are getting counseling are vulnerable or even damaged people or in serious crisis and this is how these sick people treat them...and yes there are many corrupt cuonselors out there in the world but I don't think anyone should get away with that kind of mistreatment... Even the counselor I currently have gone to have been less than professional 'sometimes' with an attitude of "wanting to hear more of the story as it unfolds" or "interested in hearing the ending" jokingly. as if it's an entertaining soap opera...rather than....this is a particular counseling session and patient/doctor sitaution that needs to be taken seriously, like any other relationship, which was just very very offensive....the counselor several times has acted in a non-chalant way and only response seemed to be to make patient feel guilty or "i told yuo so" or "i've heard that before" rather than....what can we do to help you. Even worse, made an odd ridiculous joke that literally pertained to a serious situation the patient was going through-- ie mocking them...and it wasn't funny. Yes in today's nasty basically awful society it is very hard to find decent caring understanding people I'm sure but I think sometimes people go beyond the call of duty to be exceptionally nasty and out of the way for no reason, and to people who are vulnerable in crisis or needing help....however the counselors there the females who were exceptionally horrible were cindy reid as one and enid jackowitz. I'm listing their names because theri behavior towards a patient was borderline psychopathic and i can't imagine two disturbed b*tches like that working in a counseling setting attempting to help people out when they are abusers or abusive themselves. One I went to cindy reid I had a session with (she called several times to take me in because my counselor was sick at the time), she told me to call her 'anytime' gave me her number....and I told her I would call to reschedule, after our first session. Next thing I know she's not returning my calls and then she told another cuonselor some rude and negative things about me or smoe off opinion/assessment based on one session and which made no sense, were untrue and just decided to not call me back or see me again. very professional and ethical right there. Then I was told to go to enid jackowitz
who again saw me one session, was strange, asked for a hug at the end of the session which didn't seem necessary or professional to me...and asked me if I felt comfortable with her...and I said yes...then I rescheduled or would call and next thing I know she was telling the same person negative things about me--which were so absurd I can't even list them here, and claimed she didn't feel 'comfortable dealig with my situation" (which I can't list here but very common enough situation that any counselor or normal person can deal with)....ie someone going to get some general help from counselors and being trash talked to other counselors...and then ignored....and refused another session... then I went to another person...won't list his name here....and upon asking him a question of "why is this particular person behaving in this way" ie person in my life...his negative stupid response was "why do you have to know or you dont need to know that" and I explained to him that I did and that it was very important for me to know/understand....yet as a therapist/counselor he was rebuttling retorting battling me....very negative rude condescending....anything I asked was turned down with a negative and very rude statemetn in a very rude condescending manner....being so vulnerable, I almost had to beg or grovel to express to him that I needed to understand why a particular person was acting in a certain manner...and after tons of negativity then he stated to me that I needed to write down and 'organize' my questions and on the next session he might answer them...huh? the entire session was him basically turning any question I had down with "you dont need to know that"...so a patient/client can't get general basic advice from a jerk counselor there and needs to be told they don't need to know important information and they are there to get therapy/help/advice? horrible incompetent jerks...this guy was such a jerk to me the 2nd session I just didn't return....yes counselors these days are bad...ive spokent o many people I know who've had both good and bad-- but an entire center full of these negative creeps...give me a break....they need to be outed that's for sure-- so if anyone needing help is trying to find a place to get help, they can save themselves soem time and get it where there are competent ethical people working around not condescending lying and slandering jerks and bullies who pick on people who are that vulnerable in some demented screwed up way....even worse...I'm so eager to returnt o the counselor to give him the 'gossip' on my current situation....as he seemed to act like rather than go for serious counseling or therapy or help which I attempted to go there for....and worse they refuse to give u any help or advice...you have to pry advice out of them otherwise they jsut sit there like jerks or condescending robots....listening to you and not saying much else....and even if you ask for help or advice...they still won't give it to you....they are supposed to be trained professionals who give opinions to people or try to help them out---definitely not these screwed up people....

bad mean and stupid counselors

#7Consumer Comment

Fri, December 05, 2008

well after filing this report, had to be jerked to another counselor...who
was equally just a jerk and as I asked for advice, literally refused to give me
advice, told me it wasn't necessary, and just wasn't interested in being
helpful just condescending mean, retorting in a rude way, almost battling you...
it's nice to know this counseling center or so many horrible jerks out there
like to pick on abused or battered people/women etc... sick and stupid
people along with the two previous wenches who had bad experiences with...
who were literal liars and just abusive people themselves....only have had
one semi decent experience with a counselor here....who still isn't even
that good...goes to show the kind of jerks you find out there in positions
of 'helping others' that lack the skills or ability to help people and out of
just being mean or jealous will pick on patients or clients in a pretty
disgusting way in my opinion....shame on you losers....

contact the director

#7Consumer Suggestion

Tue, October 28, 2008

All counseling centers have a head director. Make an appt with the director and go in and discuss directly with the director the issues you have had. Explain how difficult it has been and ask for a good referal to another therapist or another clinic. At this point you need to let this director know what has occured as the director may not know what is happening. It could be some type of set up where they get more money based on referals. In that case you need a different center. Good luck!
