On May 17, 2005 I ordered Hoodia Gordonii (hunger suppressant) from Centiriun on-line at a cost of $39.95 for a 30 day supply, plus $20.15 for 2-day shipping. They require that you sign up for Auto Ship which may be modified or cancelled at any time (no minimum). My credit card was charged $60.10.

On May 20, I received confirmation from The Herbal Group that they had received my order. I expected the Hoodia to arrive two days later. After all, I had paid for two day shipping. I did not receive my first order until June 27th.

I emailed Centiriun on June 5, to cancel any further shipments. The product DOES NOT WORK, if anything it had the opposite effect. I also asked that the 2 day shipping charge be refunded. I received no refund nor a response to my email.

Since I received no further shipments I assumed that they had received my email and had at least cancelled the order. Shame on me. I did not check my credit card statement.

On July 20, 2005, I received another email from The Herbal Group stating that my RECURRING order has shipped and they had charged my credit card $60.10. I am supposing that this charge is for Hoodia plus two day shipping. Today is July 30, 2005 and I have not received any product (which I will refuse if it arrives). I have tried repeatedly to contact The Herbal Group by email, but the emails are returned.

I have now checked my credit card statements. To my surprise, I was not only charged ($60.10) for the supposed July shipment, but was charged ($60.10) for a June shipment which never arrived.
I am disputing these charges with my credit card company.

I have learned the hard way not to do business with a company who has "recurring orders" when trying something for the first time. Beware of these companies (do it yourself labels on product). I doubt that the product contains Hoodia or if it does Hoodia does not work.
