Below is a copy of my last email to the company. I've called several times, but gave up calling and began email communications:

I took my 2006.5 Optima in because the audio control switch on my steering column would sporadically cause an incorrect MUTE and/or the increase volume switch would actually decrease the volume. They replaced the part, but replaced it with an inferior and different design part. The incorrect part still does the same problem too!

Page 109 http://msw.kiausa.com/pds/Glove/OM/2007/OPTIMA_2007_OM_WEB.pdf shows Type B (the one that I originally had). I've attached a picture of the different types of switches (TypeB_omg045080L.JPG). Type B is the correct part.

What was incorrectly put in by Central Kia was a Type D. This one also, still, makes the radio go mute and/or lowers the volume when using the up arrow on the steering column instead of increasing the volume. Same problem with this incorrect part.

This has gone on for nearly 2 months and would like to have it resolved without my further time wasted on this matter.

Please help. Thank you.
