Went there and asked about getting a large propane tank for a travel trailer setup for the winter. Was told that I would have to buy a tank plus pay for it to be hooked up and she was leading me to believe I was looking at around $500 for the hook up part and would need at least a 150 lb. tank for them to deliver propane. That would make the total cost getting close to $1000.

Plus I would have a tank that I would have to do something with when I decided to move the trailer which would weigh well over #100 lbs. empty.

So I asked how much their propane was per gallon and was told $1.99 a gallon so I said okay to fill the tank I had with me and they did. After they filled it I went in to pay for the 7 gallons it took. They gave me a bill for $24 which is $3.43 a gallon. That's $1.44 a gallon more than I was quoted.

I argued with them and told them to get their propane out of my bottle  which they said they couldn't do. So I told them to call the police and they did. When the cop showed up and everything was explained to him he said it was a civil matter and he couldn't do anything about it and that I would have to pay them the $24 to be able to take my tank.

He did say that I could file a civil suit against them. Nothing was ever said about a different price to fill a #30 lb. bottle until after it was done and there were NO prices shown anywhere to that effect which is what they CLAIMED was the reason for charging $24.

The last time I had a #30 tank filled it cost me $15 at Ferrell gas in Albertville which come out to $2.14 a gallon, that was about 2 weeks ago.

I paid the $24 rather than give them my tank but they will NEVER get another penny of my money and I would recommend to anyone looking to get propane service to look elsewhere unless they want to pay almost twice the quoted price per gallon.
