Central Nebraska Outfitters Jim Martinosky False marketing claims Paxton, Nebraska 69155

Central Nebraska Hunting outfitters is owned by this guy named Jim who told us they were kill an average of 64 snow geese, per hunter during the best part of the season around Paxton. He said We would get more birds than we coud possibly eat.

He claimed he had a big underground blind with all the comforts of home - they would have coffee and would cook for us.

Truth time:

1. The blind is narrow and too small for the 8 people he packed into it. It was so cramped that a couple of hunter's hit each other's gun barrels when attempting to shoot. That is CROWDED

2. They didn't cook, they didn't do anything for the group other than park us in the dirt.

3. The guide actually left for over an hour and stood at the edge of the decoys with Jim and talked - sure way to run off any geese!

4. The guide seldom watched for geese, the hunter's did. He was more interested in talking and telling stories.

5. They placed electronic geese calls facing the blind - drowning out the guides call to shoot or "take em". Only the two guys next to him on the east end (where the birds came from) heard and were able to shoot.

6. 6 birds total for the day - hardly makes for a happy group of hunters. What a lier!

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

As the Owner of CNO, I will try and address your comments/complaints in order:

When I spoke with Shawn, the client who booked this hunt, I don't recall the number of prior geese killed that I told him, but if I quoted "64" we must have been discussing a prior hunt and perhaps there was a misunderstanding as to the year or time of year that hunt was.

The pit that was hunted out of is a 20 foot pit, and at booking it is hard to estimate the size of hunters.  I apologize if you felt there was not enough room.   The cook that we employ  actually cooks in one of our other pits.  The pit that you hunted in is one that clients are told can "bring things to cook" if they desire.  Perhaps another misunderstanding and /or the pit with the cook was probably already booked at the time of scheduling your hunt.

Our guides are encouraged to socialize with the clients, which most clients enjoy.   If you were unhappy with your guide, the set up of decoys or the electronic caller, I sure wish you would have addressed that with me by a phone call so that I could suggest and redirect things to have you walk away a satisfied client.

I hope that your future hunts are successful and memorable.

Thanks,

Jim, Owner
