Central Progressive Bank Or CPB Is Only After Your Money! Ripped Off A Teenager Of Over $300.00!!! I was 18 and I opened a bank account to earn credit. Charged insane amounts, and am now in debt! I am only 19!! Slidell Louisiana
I was 18 and decided to open a bank account so I could start earning credit, get an apartment, and obtain student loans for college. I went to CPB, and they told me that everytime I didn't have $10.00 in my account, they would charge me $15.00. I had $600.00 in there and they STILL took out the money!
I complained to them SEVERAL times and they said they would change it. They never did.
Now, I am in debt! I am only 19 years old, I can't get an apartment until I "pay CPB back" even though I did nothing wrong.
My mother, 50 years old, agrees that CPB is a rip off and now I have an account with ********* (a.k.a *********) and they are awesome! DO NOT GOTO CPB!

As CEO of Central Progressive Bank I can tell you that part of our mission is to provide our customers great service. It appears in this case we missed our goal. I regret this happened. CPB delivers great service at fair prices or your money back if not satisfied. I will find out why this customer and CPB'S mission did not work out this way.

Its funny how none of your numbers make any sence but the bank "STOLE" money from you. Its not the bank's fault that you can't manage your money properly.

Is this a checking account?
Why are they taking money out? Is your problem that they are hitting you with overdraft fees?
Were you overdrawn? Did you leave the bank with a negative balance?

Yes, you are right, when I complained. However, even AFTER I complained they kept taking money out I never CLOSED the account until I was $310.00 in debt because I figured they would stop, then it was too late. After several nasty conversations with them to stop, it still persisted for months.

If you had $600 in your account, and they hit you for a $15 fee, wouldn't you still have had $585 in your account when you marched in there and closed the account?
Where does the debt come from?
