this online survey i did to win a 1000 walmart gift card is phoney. you do a 20 min survey to get a chance to win. so i thought i was lucky, they gave me a call the next day and said congradulations you won a 1000 walmart gift card ok i already knew it was a catch but ok i had to buy some magazines okay no problem i wanted them anyway. i waited almost a month for my gift card, would also call them to see what was taking so long finally today i get my mail thinking i have my walmart gift card no its a 1000 shopping spree on www.select your gift. com. this has nothing to do with walmart in fact this a home based website i had one so i know.the thing is i was expecting a walmart gift card and so were my children how do i fight to get my walmart card.

- Since when does "winning" something require you to pay for your prize or buy something?

So you figure that even if you bought $500 in Magazines(which I really hope you didn't) that you would somehow magically get a $1000 Walmart gift card?

If you have e-mail and/or other documentation that says without exception you would receive a Walmart Gift card then yes you could go after them.  However, for the time and trouble you spend in trying to track down who to go after.  If they are a scam they will probably have closed up shop and moved on to another scam.  The best thing you may want to do is look at that site and see if you can get anything of value out of it..without spending any more money.

Otherwise think of this as an expenssive lesson..although hopefully not too expensive.
