Central Support And Savings ripoff dishonest unsecured visa/master card offer Champlain New York
I received a phone call on my cell phone from a female employee of Central Support and Savings with an offer for an unsecured visa or mastercard credit card for a one time fee of $299.00 which had to be paid by an automated debit from my checking account.
She said that they work with many banks and would be able to locate a bank that would approve me a credit card. That this was a real master card or visa that I could use at any store that accepts master card and visa. She also explained that there would be no annual membership fees, and a fixed rate apr that would never change no matter how high my limit got.
I asked when would I get my card. She told me that after my payment got processed it would take 15 business days. My checking account was debited on Sept. 9th.
I asked how long had the company been in business and was told they have been helping people re-establish credit for 5 years now. I then asked if I was unsatisfied with the service would I be able to get my money back and she gave me a toll free number (866) 804-5469 where supposedly customer service would assist me but she was sure that I would be pleased with the service.
I waited and waited on this credit card to come and never received it. I finally started calling the customer service number to find out the status of credit card because they had gotten their money and I wanted to know where my card was. I always got a recorded message stating that if I was calling between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm Monday - Friday someone would be with me shortly but I waited on the phone for an hour waiting on someone to assist me. Eventually the recording stopped and the call was disconnected.
Two weeks later I received a box from Central Support and Savings containing a letter explaining that I had to complete an application and send additional money to get my "store valued master card". " The faster they received my pre-approved application, the sooner I will receive the Master Card".
Along with the letter and the credit card application was offers for a computer, vacation, grocery store coupons, life and medical plans, cell phone offers etc. They even had the nerve to send a booklet on how to repair your credit.
I went on the internet to search for an alternative way to reach Central Support and Savings and that's when I came across this website (Rip-off report.com)this is when I realized I had been scammed. So now I am hoping that this website will be able to help me locate this company and shut them down.
