Sells extremely cheap computer systems made from inferior parts of unknown origin. Gives you a 7 day warranty (from date of purchase) than takes 5 days to build it. This in effect gives you a 2 day warranty.

My system failed on 3 different occasions. Each time I would bring the sysyem back for repair Mike Marcole (owner) tells me that it is MY fault that the system doesn't. I ask him why there are a tons on systems in the repair area and he says they are all there for upgrades, yeah right! (this guy is slick). Every time I walk in the place I see another unsatisfied customer cussingh Mike out because their system they bought isn't worth a crap.

I finally got fed up with him and sued his a*s. Of course his lawyer settles with me right away because he knows he will lose in court. I got all my money back plus all costs associated with the suit and never even had to hire a lawyer.

IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKETY FOR A COMPUTER. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEIR PRICES ARE TEMPTING, BUT PLEASE REMEMBER, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. ESPECIALLY HERE!

I work for a major law firm in downtown chicago. Over the last 3 years we have purchased approximately 140 computers from Century Computers. We've been relatively trouble free. We did have a couple of machines go bad, but that's to be expected. We are always taken care of. I guess I could say we are lucky, but when you are talking about those kinds of numbers over that period of time I guess they just make good computers.

I have purchased two machines from Century Comp. and am very happy with both. It's incredible how many computers this store sells and I have not seen pricing anywhere that's lower.

The only complaint I have is my motherboard died on my machine 53 weeks after getting it. I was only one week beyond the one year warranty, but they still wouldn't cover the part. Also, they said it went dead due to a surge, but since it died slowly over a couple of weeks, I don't see how that can be possible. However, the price of the new motherboard was extremely low. This was several months ago, but I think it was just over $100.

As I am a local customer and a private system builder, I have recommended Century Computer to my friends.

I purchased a system in June 2000 and have had no problems at all. This system runs almost everday for several hours.

If they would listen to some constructive critisim, it would be to the sales department on how they talk to new customers. They tend to talk down to people who do not have the same knowledge as they do. Another comment would be to stop answering the phone when in the middle of a conversation with a customer. I've heard comments from frustrated customers, and it's happened to me.

The average customer who probably buys systems at Century Computer are shopping for price,and a reliable system, not the techy words that the sales dept talks.

The tech department is pretty good, and I still recommend Century Computer.

I HAVE DELT WITH CENTURY COMPUTERS FOR AT LEAST 4 TO 6 YEARS AND HAVE BOUGHT MORE THAN 9 COMPUTERS FROM THEM AND AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS AND WHEN I HAD A SOFTWARE ISSUE BECAUSE MY KIDS HAD DELETED SOMETHING THAT THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE HE TOOK THE MACHINE IN REPAIRED IT AND DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME! HE HAS NEVER BEEN RUDE TO ANYONE WHEN I HAVE BEEN IN HIS STORE AND I HAVE BEEN IN HIS STORE ALOT BECAUSE HE ALSO SELLS UPGRADES AND OTHER STUFF TOO SO I FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS COSTOMER COULD HAVE BEEN SATIFIED AND WE ALL HAVE MEET PEOPLE LIKE THAT BEFORE!!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND CENTURY TO ANYONE!!!

I actually found this page looking for their number to purchase my third system from Century.

My wife and I both have computers from them and have never had any problems whatsoever.

We are so pleased with their price and quality that we decided to get a system for our daughter.

This ripoff report was forwarded to me by a friend who is also a customer of Century Computers.

I find the customers complaint very hard to beleive. Myself and my entire family, including uncles and cousins have purchased Computers from Century Computers as have countless friends and other people I know.

I have heard nothing but good things about Century Computers.

Our computers have always worked good, there was one system that had some problems but the folks at Century Computers took care of it right away.
As far as I am concerned they are an A+ company.

I read the customer comment about Century Computers and it is not true. First of all we offer a 2 year warranty (1-year parts and labor, 2nd year labor, we provide lifetime tech support, lifetime labor free upgrades and we also provide all of our customers with a tech support number).

The 7 ady period that the customer refers to is for returns not warranty.

While we strive to do the best that we can once in a while there will be a computer that has problems. 99.999% of our customers are repeat customers, which means that they are satisfied customers.

We always try to please everyone but sometimes you run into that one person that you can't please.

Century Computers has 10's of thousands of satisfied customers. So I am sorry that this customer wasn't happy. But our number one goal is customer satisfaction.
