I ordered a custom glass shower door at the Home Depot and subsequently had my measurement a few days later. I was told the installation would be 17 working days and I called 2 weeks later to check on things. Turns out the people at Home Depot did not tell me that the cost was actually $200 higher and they didn't place the PO with their vendor. I had paid up front so you would figure things would go smoothly. I called the corporate complaint dept. at Home Depot and was told they would call the vendor to push things up to still meet the schedule. I got a call back from them that they would. I also spoke to Century Shower Door and was told that the install would be on a specific date. I waited on that date and no one showed. I called Century and was told they hadn't even gotten the glass in yet. I was floored at thier incompetence. Why hadn't they bothered to call me. I guess they just don't give a crap about their customers. At this point I don't know if I'm ever going to get these d**n shower doors.

Personally, both the Home Depot and Century are totally unprofessional. They don't communicate with their customers and can't even manage a simple project like installing three pieces of glass in a shower. This ain't rocket science. It's glass.

This report fails to give specific timelines or names. Nor whether a resolution and/or installation was completed. I am confident that with Century Showet Door being in business since 1945 this matter was resolved. Do unexpected delays happen in construction? Certainly. I know we strive to be forthright and communicate with customers if lead times go beyond our estimation of 10-17 working days(doesnt include weekends). I would welcome looking up this customers order to find out the facts of the situation. In construction you count on word of mouth and refferrals and I would hate if someone didnt use us based on heresay. Feel free to contact myself or Century Shower Door.
