Because of their commercial - an early one before they started stating you have to bundle to get the $19.95 rate, I suggested to husband that we switch to CenturyLink, that it was only $19.95. Husband went to get it on Dec. 27. He was told there was no $19.95 price, that internet was $35 a month. He thought I was mistaken about the price and he signed up, with a right to cancel for a full refund within 30 days. He told them we had it paid through our current provider through the 31st and specified that the service not begin until January. When I learned that the price was not as advertised, we cancelled by phone and husband also went in person to make sure they were canceling the service. He was told there would be no charges. They gave my husband what was supposed to be confirmation of cancelation but it said nothing about cancelation and my husband had to go back again and complain. They refused to give him anything else and said it was enough that it was in their records.  We canceled within the Federal and Arizona’s 3-day cooling off period, that provides for canceling such contracts, for a full refund. Their early commercial was false, misleading and deceptive. They soon changed their commercial but, not before we and I am sure others were victimized. They continue to bill us, months later for $40.69 – for services from “Dec 27 to Jan 1”, before we were supposed to even have the service.  STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM CENTURY LINK. They operate in BAD FAITH and are still harassing us for payment.
