centurylink, embarq Trying to charge me when they owe me and so much for the 19.95 for life, Ha Ha! Bad service too. Charlotte North Carolina

I cancelled my internet service on 11/21/13. Was due a credit of 9.79. They mailed me a return shipping label to return their equipment, so they did have my address. And prior to setting my setting up online billing I received paper bills in the mail. They had my phone number but never called me. They wouldn't let me access my account after I discontinued their service. Would'nt even let me access my email after I cancelled the service, other companies do allow you to access email after you cancel service.  I never received my credit but I did receive a letter from an attorney for collections on my account. All this time no refund, no bill no contact. 

 When I signed up for the service they for a long time were running the commerical of 19.95 for life. Well that just wasn't true. We kept having trouble with the poor service. It was bleeding thru their phone lines so if you were on the internet you couldn't hear thru the phone line when making or receiving calls. Had many service calls of which many of them they never showed up stood me up. The service was out more than in service and was very slow. We just went ahead and cancelled the phone service and they jacked the price of the 1.5M512 internet service fee to 34.95. So they lied.

 One of the worst companies ever. I had been a customer for over 9 years and never never paid late.
