Does this sound familiar?
One day you got a phone call from Quest (now CL) and they asked you to switch over because they can give you a better deal. The deal sounds reasonable so you give them permission to switch. Down the road you find out that their internet service is way slower than what was promised and you upgrade the speed for more money but with no better result. Then after about two and a half years you decide to sign up with Comcast who just came to town asking much less money and 12 Mbps that is actually delivered! So you cancel the service with CL and they charge you about $500 for early cancellation of a 3-year term agreement. Mind you, you never agreed to such terms but they insist you had. When asked to substantiate such a claim by supplying you with the signed contract, a recording of the actual deal, or a verbatim transcript, they simply refuse. You write letters, you offer arbitration, and they still refuse.
You reach in complaints to the FTC, the FCC, the BBB, your States Div. of Consumer Protection etc. etc.  If this is happening to you, dont give in, hold your ground. If this scenario sounds familiar, you are in the same situation as we are and you may email us at IBAofUT@aol.com  Maybe we can help.

I appreciate your effort in contacting the various agencies. CL has responded to all of them denying my claim. If they should report to the Credit Bureaus or turn it over to collection we will contact these agencies and make them aware of the ongoing dispute. If you like to contact us for further information or how the case is progressing you may do so at IBAofUT@aol.com

I had the same exact experience with Centurylink trying to tell me that I agreed to some 12 month contract.  When I asked for a hard copy, audio recording or transcript of the alleged contract, they cannot provide it.  I am sending complaints to all of the agencies you recommended, and will keep you updated with my case.
