Do not rent from Ceola McClendon (Los Angeles, CA) affiliated with Bilmore Square Condominiums (Phoenix, AZ). I never got my refundable deposit (>$2000) back even though I abided by the contract.

These are the issues I have/am having with this real estate broker: unprofessional attitude, miscommunications/poor communications, overcharging, planting things in the apartment after I left and charging me for them, racism, ripping me off with the refundable deposit.

This is the incident: I signed this contract/lease particularly because I wanted a lease that was easy to break. Most leases put forth that there is a penalty fee plus a certain number of days in advance before leaving. Most residents in this area consider the Biltmore to be prestigious even though it is definately not the Biltmore Resort. I did not move into this area because I wanted any kind of status. I have the ability to distinguish between the resort and this complex, and not to get too off the topic but don't move here if want to deal with s****.> Ceola McClendon claims my neighbor wrote a letter to her stating I owned two dogs. I was sitting one dog for a month for a friend. Nasty people in this area.

Anyway, after repeating over and over to Ray in the office (I never talked to Stephanie until I had a problem) that I could break the lease by giving a 30 day notice without penalty, reviewing the lease, etc, I thought it was a great deal and signed it. I wasn't planning on staying in Arizona for an entire year.

I gave a 30 day written notice in January 2011 packed up my belongings and headed out towards the East Coast. On my way through Texas, I get a phone call on my cellie. Some lady starts screaming in my ear that I cannot break the lease because I didn't live out the full term. That there was dog poop flung all over the apartment, etc, etc. I can still hear her screaming in my ear.

The next time she called, it was Sunday night. The next email I got from her was broken English and poor grammar I could barely interpret what she wanted. The next voicemail was slurred speech and uninterpretable. I regrettably deleted it out of disgust.

After requesting pictures at least four or five times concerning this dog poop, I finally got them. The pictures included three fire alarms that were removed, only three light bulbs in the bathroom instead of six, a rod missing from the closet, and about twelve pictures of the same dog piss about six inches from the ground. And a picture of the sink with the cleaning supplies I used right next to it.

All fire alarms were in the area. I removed them while cleaning the oven. There were only three light bulbs in the bathroom when I moved in. and the missing rod was later confirmed to be found in a drawer. The "dog pee" was dark brown and six inches off the floor. My dog is not even six inches off the ground.

Apparently, there was no dog poop-fling. When I finally was fed up with her attitude, I figured she was racist and hated single white females. After confronting her, I haven't heard from her since.

Ceola McClendon did not give me back my deposit I needed for my next apartment. The claims for the deposit are false. I've never seen dog pee that is brown. In fact, dogs can't make brown urine unless they have internal bleeding and my lazy happy dog sure didn't have internal bleeding.

Do yourself a favor, don't work with Ceola McClendon if you are white. She is absolutely racist. She assumes all white people are ignorant and rich. I sure as H am not rich. I needed that deposit for my next place. I also was completely mislead in breaking the lease.

Just don't bother with these people. Go down the street to Citi condos on Camelback and 9th street. They are MUCH more friendly and will give you the deposit back. And, no, I don't work for them, but I did stay there once.

Never rent to people that damage your property, and dont wont to go by the rules.  God is my source so I dont need to take any thing from any one.  I love and treat people as I wish to be treated ,  If everyone lived this way it would be a better world. Look who is renting from who.   I pray that he buys something of his own.  Wish him well.   GOD BLESS
