We received a letter in July 07 from Certegy stating that our bank information was stolen by one of their employees. We immediately put a credit watch company to work for us to make sure that our identity didnt get stolen and that our bank account wasnt emptied out.
Then on 09-06-07 I had one of my checks declined at GameStop, very embarrassing!!! My husband and I thought Ok.....this is just a computer glitch, so we gave it another try on 09-08-07 this time with my husband as the signer, he was also declined. The reason we were given was #2, that sthey show no negative history on our account, but that the check might have been stolen or at least fit the profile of a stolen check!!!!! WHAT!!! I was like....Are you kidding me??? The only thing I had stolen is my bank acct. info. and that was by........YOU!!! Certegy has to be stopped!! Consumer analylist tell us, "dont use credit cards" and of course weve been told for years that its not safe to carry large amounts of cash.....so what are we to do now!!!! oh yeah thats right..Certegy offers to let you fill out an application so that this doesnt happen in the future!! So Im supposed to give them even more of my personal information....so what? So they can steal it and sell it!!!
