Certified Security, Certified Security & Serveillance Trying to cancel. 3-yr contract. Month to month contract. 60 day fine print. Jacksonville Florida
After completing your 3-year contract, the sales people make it seem that you will then be in a month to month contract. This is only until you try to cancel, when they will inform you that you have to pay for an additional 60 days. This is their fine print way of squeezing a few extra dollars out of their long term customers. Pick another company.

Jennifer signed an initial three-year term with Certified Security to provide her both a security system and monitoring.
As our customers can see in the middle of their respective contracts (on the front), we offer a preferred monitoring rate of $19.95 at the conclusion of the initial term. This is the renewal provision Jennifer is referring to. All our customers who want to take that advantage, do so by an acceptance, via their initials. Jennifer would be no different.
The customers can also see the Term language above their signature (on the front) that stipulates renewal terms of one-year at each anniversary date. We will gladly terminate the renewal provision upon the receipt of a requested letter to cancel services before the respective anniversary date. We've never denied a customer who managed this request properly.
We have to incorporate a renewal provision, because many consumers we service are non-responsive to communications we frequently send out (albeit due to traveling, multiple homes resided in). We provide a very sensitive service (this isn't like a cell phone, cable tv) and cannot afford an at will type of understanding with regard to the service and its related terms. In fact, we send all our customers, including Jennifer, a Congratulations Renewal packet nearly one month prior to their respective anniversary date.
With guidance from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), we have taken many measures to try to properly do business. There is no "fine print" with respect to the language on our Agreement. All necessary information is provided on the front of the Agreement, above the customer's signature. I apologize for any misunderstanding Jennifer has experienced with us, but would happily discuss the matter further with her (904-680-3739).
Thank you for the opportunity to discuss this important topic.
