Complaint Review: CERTS Inc.

CERTS, Inc. Promised a cruise and then said they couldn't accomodate. Gave us a choice of picking another date or refund. We requested refund in Aug 09 but still have not received $498. Orlando, Florida

In December 2008, we attended a World Vacations seminar in Newark, DE and at such time, we received a certificate for a complimentary cruise with Certs, Inc., 424 East Central Blvd. #413, Orlando, FL 3280-1923 (Phone:  866-2920099).  On 02/05/09, we submitted the Activiation Form, Pkg Code: CA NJ, Serial Number:  299 and a Postal Money Order for $498.00.  On 04/14/09, we submitted a completed request for departure date of 09/26/09.  Early August, 2009 we received a letter informing us that they were sorry that they were unable to fulfill our request and suggested that we select another date  (dates starting in Sep 2010) or request our refund.  We chose the latter.  The letter stated that we would receive our refund within 30 days of the letters return.  The letter was returned on 08/24/09.  We have made numerous attempts by phone (which an answering machine picks up and says that all agents are busy and finally just cuts off), letters, and emails but have had no response.  All we ask is for our $498 refund.
