Complaint Review: Champion Fitness CF Nutrition Roger Duchon

Roger Duchon has owned Kings Gym for the past 7 years. For the past 5 years, it's been named Champion Fitness, hoping to cover up some of the treacherous dealings he's had with people's bank accounts and personal data. Roger also promotes natural OCB bodybuilding shows, namely the Iron City Classic and the Battle for the Sword.

It's interesting that Roger promotes two shows a year and hasn't used the same venue for more than one season yet. He vandalizes the walls, floors, and every type of linen available. Roger allows competitors to use Pro Tan in non-designated areas, staining things permanently so that the venue is left only to assess the damages and never let him return.

Despite marked off walls providing a "cleaner" and more appropriate environment for adding tanning products, the bathrooms of course end up taking a serious beating, oftentimes requiring all new toilet seats, handles, etc. Hotel room damage specifically is tragic. Sheets are left in a pile of unsalvageable brown dismay. The stains on bed spreads, carpets, tiles, bathtubs, showers, etc. are all ruined and stained. Yet Roger continues to do this at each venue his shows are held, and so far the venues only option is to permanently ban Roger's shows in the future. Sadly they are left with costly damage and an expensive lesson learned.

To add insult to injury, Roger verbally abuses the existing employees of the venue with disregard to their uninvolvement with his delegated duties. Despite the fact that they're not even his employees, he's been heard screaming at them, bossing them around, and ordering them to help with cleaning up the mess that he left, with their cleaning supplies and own time. Just another reason why venues continue to BAN Roger Duchon from ever returning.

An equally disturbing, but non-bodybuilding related rip off is Roger's gym, Champion Fitness and the accompanying vitamin discount store, CF Nutrition. Despite paying for a membership, including a hidden 25.00 club ehancement fee withdrawn from your account once a year, the gym is more than unkept. It's crawling with MRSA and fungal infections such as ringworm and athletes foot, allowed to thrive thanks to the lack of cleaning and disinfecting of the facilities.

The money certainly isn't used for cleaning, but it certainly isn't used for equipment upkeep either. Right now, the entire gym has 3/34 working treadmills, not to mention countless other pieces of equipment that are broken and unusable. If the money isn't being used for upkeeping the gym, is it simply going into Roger's pocket? What a ripoff!

On any single day you can hear members telling tales of Roger giving them pro-eating disorder starvation diets, ridiculous training routines inviting injury, and tales of personal disservice due to the condescending manner in which he talks to people. There's a constantly revolving door of employees, always quitting from being abused and taken advantage of, and even Roger's tenants can't seem to stay longer than one lease, even if that means paying damages and breaking the contract to remove themselves from being associated with him.

Despite Roger's less than ethical business practices, he still continues to drum up new business. His new business is entirely made up of unsuspecting, trusting, naive customers and partnering businesses who end up in the same situation as the ones in the past, leaving him somewhat black-balled in the community. What needs to happen is that the new and naive patrons Roger attempts to prey upon learn of his history and gimmicks, and avoid getting ripped off before they learn their lesson the hard way.
