my husband and i purchased land/less than 6 months later he passed away at age of 43 from misdiagnosed cancer. i have two small children and went to premier homes in cookeville who sold champion homes. i decided to purchase a home made by champion because i was told how great the quality and service was.

i was approved in october 2005 and unable to move in until may 2006. in june 2006 we began having water leaks, no airflow out of ductwork to rooms in back of house, floors began warping, electrical problems, walls bowing, marriage wall never repaired. misc repairs left nothing but more of the same.

premier blamed it on champion, champion blamed it on premier. through countless inspections, same result....nothing. i discovered thru first independent inspection that i had novadecking floors...a term i was not familiar with. cheapest saltine cracker type flooring u can get...i was told they were only made from osb or 3/4" plywood. my floors are ruined. loose neutral in home...microwave burned up in the wall, lights flicker, cabinets are falling apart, sinks won't drain, can't use one of the showers, have had raw sewage under house.

my electric bills have run at times $540 per month due to the thermostat switching over to auxilliary/emergency heat all the time and not being able to control it. now we have no air or heat at all...i have a child who has been exceptionally ill this past yr and they have only offered to tear the house apart and rebuild parts of it. i purchased a new home...and they tied my land up in it.

now 2 1/2 yrs later... and after several estimates of almost $70,000 worth of damage to home alone, i am told i HAVE to go thru arbitration, because i signed a contract which said i would...i recall signing a contract which said i was buying a quality built home. they keep postponing arbitration. i was offered less than $3,000 last yr and less than $8,000 this year for repairs. they know i am on limited income; they are waiting for me to quit...what they don't realize is i won't...and i am very very vocal on this issue.

i am interested in joining a class action lawsuit against this company, and am interested in hearing from anyone who has had similar rip off. i truly appreciate this forum.
