Abused & mistreated dirty SOB's .....

Where to start... 1st off I would like to say that the police dept. in Chandler AZ is one of the worst departments in Az. Lets see, it was in July of 1999. I finally got my own car..... it was around 12 midnight .....

I didn't even have my car for a week, (5 days to be exact) and my cousin and I were hanging out, we were about to go back to my house and turn in for the nite, but we decided to just drive around the neighborhood for a few. (you know how it is when you finally get your 1st car, you want to spend all your time in the car lol) So we were driving around the neighborhood, I drove down my aunt's street....

we saw a guy laying on the ground under a truck! We turned around to see if he was still there (I was making sure he wasn't messing w/ my aunt's house) he was gone, we drove down the alley way.... NOTHING.

We decided to go home, a cop car pulled up behind me (like out of nowhere!) then turned away. About 5 minutes later we pulled up in front of my house.

We for out of the car and we saw this cop car come flying up quick, the cop got out with his gun drawn and yelled "stop, put your hands on the f-ing car." I did that, but asked what did we do, he again "shut the "F" up, and put your hands on the f-ing car" Next thing we knew my street was blocked off with over 7 police cars, all the cops had their guns on us. The commanded us one at a time to them and onto our knees (a felony stop). After we were cuffed and seperated (of course) we were questioned.

** Now readers remember, we didn't do NOTHING, we did not run, or start anything, we were just driving, and they came on us with guns out. **

We were told that someone in the neighborhood had their truck broken into, and saw my car drive by.

** Ok that is fine, "wrong place at the wrong time", or as they say "sh*t happens", however, the report was 3 hispanics in a maroon, brown, or black Ford Thunderbird. My car is a Ford Thunderbird, but my car is BLUE, and there were 2 of us in the car, and we are both white. **

I tried to explain to them that my aunt lives in that part of the neighborhood, and we saw a gun under a truck, and that is why we were in that area for a few minutes, b/c we were trying to see what that guy was up to. We were taken down to the police station, finger printed, had our photos taken, and question some more. My cousin who was 15 at the time was put into an "adult" holding cell, while they questioned me.

Then I was put into a cell while they questioned my cousin. When our stories matched almost 100% you could tell they were not happy. I think they were trying to make someone go down for this little stupid report. They never called my aunt for my cousin (he was a minor and was questioned w/ no parent, and no lawyer. Then all they said was if either one of our finger prints came back on the truck they would come arrest us, but they had nothing to hold us on, so we were released.

** I would like to apologize for this story being so long, it has alot to say **

No sh*tting, for appx 1 week I was followed by Chandler PD, I would come out of work, there would be a cop sitting in the parking lot, as I would leave so would he, I would go on lunck, there would be a cop. It got so bad that week, I stopped doing stuff in the city of Chandler, I would go to the nearby cities and hang out. I even tried to sue Chandler PD, but I spoke to 3 lawyers, I would tell them the story and they sounde dlike that was a case they would take, as soon as I said Chandler PD, EVERYONE of them said no.

I was told that Chandler PD is a corrpt department, they lie to cover for eachother. So I never did anything, but we were still messed with, followed, I was pulled over for the most stupidest things. I was given a DUI test nite and I didn't even have 1 drink, (not to mention I wasn't old enought to buy liquor. If anyone has an idea where i can still do something please let me know, if anyone has any problems w/ Chandler PD and needs help if I can help please let me know.

In regards to your 'complaint' heres some feedback.

If I see someone under another persons truck you know what i'd do?? Call the Police and let them investigate, what would you do if the guy was under there supposedly and had a firearm, bang bang you and your cousin are dead. Best to let the guys who are paid to deal with scum handle it!

a cop car pulled up behind me (like out of nowhere!) then turned away

Picture JennyResident who sees a guy under a vehicle , probably is on the phone with 911 like your typical neighbor , she sees a car go by no big deal, the guy after this leaves she tells 911 this (They stay on the line with you and have you update the info), suddenly that thunderbird drives by again and then goes into the Alley, remember its midnight so it's a dark colored T-Bird and she can see 2 maybe 3 persons.

The 911 operator put what colors are dark and sorry at night you can be black brown or white without a spotlight its hard to tell from inside a house) furthermore sadly a good portion of auto theft is by mexicans and CITIZENS are naturally racist torwards hispanics.

OfficerABC drives through the area going to the call and what does he see hmm a dark thunderbird occupied with multiple persons i'd say its worth a look if I was a cop, good police work if you ask me, he probably put your plate in the computer and returned to the person calling.

After talking with JennyResident it is determined that it was a dark colored vehicle and OfficerABC goes hey I saw a t-bird with 2 guys in it leaving the area a few ago. Remember kids the officer probably wrote the plate down and has his address from the system, what does he do?

Hauls it to the address on file and what does he see two potential suspects exiting that same car, lights go on, guns come out (since gta is a felony), and welcome to the world of a Felony Stop. A world where officers are in a tense situation , where the likelyhood of violence is extreme, d**n straight id have my gun on you, I have a wife and kids to come home to and if havinga gun pointed to your center mass until your secured prevents any chance of death to myself then thats what i'd do.

You really were in a bad place at a bad time and rather than leave you created more suspicion on yourself, see my first paragraph, and try and profile people driving by your house at night as to color of vehicle, racial background etc. it's near impossible. You were processed as would any suspect photographed , fingerprinted, etc since you were a likely suspect even though you guys gave stories.

Regarding your cousin, Jail is Jail i've seen the chandler jail doing a ride along and the cells are 1 person and no difference its a moot point as to that reason. As to no parent no lawyer , you guys prolly got mirahnda rights issued, if you talk hey your bad , first right is 'You have the right to remain silent' , means you don't -have- to say anything w/o a lawyer present but if you do then oops!

To the finger prints returning to you, yeah that sounds right I could see them saying that. As to a DUI test, people under 21 drink too , if you showed signs of driving drunk on the road and when the officer talked to you , you acted suspicious its within his rights I think to test you.

Theres a lot of cops working at any time in any city , I see them all the time in Scottsdale in parking lots on the computer, as to lunch cops eat too...

So todays reccomendations.
1. Don't linger in an area where you see someone doing a crime , leave, call the police
2. Cops are people too and shop and eat and hangout in parking lots
3. Nights its hard to see dark colors and skin color inside cars
4. Mirahnda rights - dont speak until you get your lawyer listen to the cop as he says them
