My wife and I invited two relatives to this restaurant for a lunch on 12/28/2012. We decided to order from the lunch special section of the menu. But the waitress was very rudely told us no lunch special today. We showed her the menu printed except holidays and weekends, but this was Friday and also not a holiday. She then said it is a holiday for us. The whole purpose is to steer away from lunch special and have you to order from the more expensive dinners menu. In addition to this, the popular items when we wanted to order from the dinners menu, we were told they are sold out. Then she suggested something which we later found out tasted rather strange.

This is improper business practice. I certainly wont to back to this particular restaurent and I urge others to be careful before step into this black restaurant.

1. There is no "Change's Restaurant" in Arcadia, CA at the address you provided.  There is however; a Chang's Garden.

2.  If you were unhappy at being told you could not order discounted food, you certainly had the option to WALK OUT!!!

3. Like the previous poster, I too wonder what the "black restaurant" comment means.  This restaurant is NOT black owned, it is owned by an asian man.  It is staffed with asian waiters.  A good majority of their customers are ASIANS.

4. They serve AUTHENTIC CHINESE/ASIAN food.  Your food that "tasted strange" was probably something that is genuinely found in China or some other asian country, and not the American pretend version of Chinese you are most likely use to, like sweet n sour pork, fortune cookies and egg rolls.

5. This restaurant has excellent reviews on many websites.

6. I don't know what asian holiday they were celebrating.  Google is your friend.  You can do your own research.
