Chapel Sales, Inc. sent young adults to my door selling subscriptions to help them pay for school. I got taken for $100 worth of magazine subscriptions that have never been delivered to me. Collingswood New Jersey
On 9/13/06 two late teen/early 20-something African-American girls came to my door and asked if I would like to order magazine subscriptions to help them get points or money toward their education. They seemed so nice and I really wanted to help. So I ordered a subscription from each, at a total expense of $100, which I paid them in cash on the spot.
Nearly four months later, no sign of the magazines! I have phoned the company and left messages but no one has ever called me back. I want my $100 back, but if I can't have that then I want to help put them out of business.
This is a total scam and I feel sick to my stomach over how they have preyed on the kindness of me and others like me. This is precisely akin to someone coming into my home and stealing $100 right out of my wallet. I'd call that illegal wouldn't you?
