Novemebr 2nd I went to purchase a Dodge Nitor. I had been researching the vehicle and new what I wanted. I test drove the car and wanted to wait to purchase and think it over, so they sent me home with it for a courtesy night. I liked the vehicle, when I returned the salesman TJ Galina wnet over the vehicle with me that it had the new Pentastar engine and the feature of u-connect that once the vehicle was purchased by me would be activated. This was apparently and supposedly their last Nitro 4X4. I explained to the manager Bahram Yahyavi that I would have a co-signer on my vehicle my mother and either she would be coming in to sign papers for a better interst ate, or that we would be going through my credit union. I then called TJ Galina the salesman a ew days after I signed for the vehicle, supposedly giving me 90 days until my first payment was due and 30 days to finance through another lender. If I had known Chapman Dodge Chrysler did business this way I NEVER owuld have purchased a car from them! Ultimatley I was at the credit unin and calling TJ Galina asking for the purchase report and another form financing at One Nevada Credit Union needed to complete my loan at 3.48% and no payment for 90 dyas. TJ Galina and the person in financing Andy Przybysz NEVER would provide us with the documents. We requested 4 times and a weekend went by. Ultimatley my lender at the credit union and myself find out together that they already processed my loan through Wells Fargo the day we let them know I was going with the credit union!

I have had to refinance my loan and the car had to be classified as used then I realized my credit was ran multiple times at the dealership affecting my ultimate score by a drop in 80 points!!!.....Furthermore I go to use the u-connect and call the 1-800 number for servicing and they ask me for the VIN number then tell me I do not have this feature in the vehicle!!! All the panel buttons for the feature are present and TJ Galina told me it only required activation once the vehicle was purchased! Furhtermore my broher is a mechanic and he informed me that it is not the 2011 with the Penastar engine it is the 2012! Theses peopke at Chaoman have given me the nightmare experience of going to a dealership thsat I had only heard of and never experienced. One good thing is I like the Dodge Nitro it is a nice vehicle that rides smooth....I would NEVER reccomend going Chapman Dodge Chrysler and Jeep as these people even shocked my loan officer at the credit union with how they do business! If you do your credit will be negatively impacted and they may sell you something that doesn't exsisit in the vehicle.

If your talks with the dealership were as confusing as your post here is I'm not surprised they processed your loan application themselves, how could they guess what your intentions were with regards to financing the vehicle you had ordered? At a dealership you *must* have them put everything down in writing, and then *read* the documents to make sure everything is clear. As for running your credit, if they thought you had requested them to find you a deal they would have started with the lowest possible interest rate and work their way up until you get approved. This always has a negative impact on one's credit rating but it's for the short term as it goes back up every time you make a payment.

Also you said you researched this model... then surely you were aware that the Nitro does not and will never be equipped with the Pentastar engine. This engine already equips the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep minivans and SUV's that were slated to get it beginning with the 2011 model-year, except the Jeep Wrangler, which is receiving it for the 2012 model-year. The Nitro won't get it in 2012 because there won't be a 2012 Nitro, it's being discontinued because it competes with other Chrysler products, namely the Jeep Liberty which is basically the same vehicle. It is hard for me to believe that a Dodge salesman did not know these details... are you sure that's what he told you?

As for the UConnect well I drive a Ford so I am not familiar with it, but I'm very familiar with supposedly cutting-edge electronic stuff that does not work. Did I mention I drive a Ford?
