In July of 2006, we listed our bus to be shipped on a find a hauler web site. Charles Freeman/ Load Board International contacted us with a bid. We accepted the bid.

Freeman said we needed to wire half the payment into an escrow account. We did so and were told that the truck would be here between Aig 15 and Sept 1, 2006, as we had requested.

September came and went and no truck. We called them and they said there had been a mixup at dispatch and the truck would be there no later than Sept 15.

After the 15th we contacted them again or tried to as our emails went unanswered and the phone messages went unaswered. We threatened litigation and they sent an email stating the driver was not reliable and they were going to fire him. They stated they would refund our money.

a month went by and no check. After several sent emails, we again threatened litigation. They answered and said they had sent check # 2559 or something like that. As we had not received it to contact accounting so they could reissue the check. We did as they requested but never received another check.

We finally went to a lawyer and he sent them a letter requesting payment. It went unanswered. We contacted the Atty General in Kansas as that was where they were located at the time of our contract. Loadboard ignored letters from them. We filed a complaint with the BBB and were notified that they had moved.

We threatened to publicize our complaint about them and they threatened to sue us. So maybe that will be the route we need to go to get some satisfaction. We tried filing through the courts but the police were unable to locate them to serve the papers. The last bit of research I did was through a new phone number of theirs and it is in either Reno or Lovelock Nevada.

The police in Lovelock said the number and name were not familiar to him, but he would look into it. The Reno PD never bothered to reply to my email.

These people have operated out of Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas and now evidently Nevada. They still have a web site up and running and continue to do business. So anyone out there looking to transport your stuff by truck...beware this company. You cant believe anything they say.

Load Board International is not a transport company!

Load Board International is not a transport company. This person contracted with a trucking company threw the load board and sent a wire for deposit for the company. We contacted the trucking company and forwarded the deposit on to them. The trucking company defaulted and we attempted to get their deposit returned and they gave us a check number. This person was requested to send a copy of the signed contract to us and refused or did not have one, we do not know. After the first person filed a complaint everyone kept following suit hoping we would sue the trucking company's for them and get their money back. At our expense! We did not have a contract with the trucking company so we could file a suite. Load Board International is a free posting load board for shippers and a membership for trucking company's. We are still here because we are a legal load matching company!

The following reads towit:

Loadboardinternational.com is NOT a freight broker, or a trucking company. We are an independent load matching forum enabling shippers and haulers a safe, easy and efficient way to do business with each other. (Each other and not with the posting site is the the magic words)

That by using Load Board International they agreed to our user agreement and privacy policy's.

This person never did and never will have a contract for Load Board International to haul any shipment. Load Board International is not a licensed broker of freight or a Motor Carrier licensed by the department of transportation.

Everyone thinks that if they can not sue a trucking company sue the load board you placed you shipment on.
