Knights of Mayhem Jouster Charlie Andrews claims to be Navy SEAL
Charlie Andrews claims to have served as a SEAL during Desert Storm, participating in ship boardings, etc., where his best friend "Matt" was killed. He also says that he was in Mogadishu and was a participant in the incident referred to, and popularized, as "Black Hawk Down.". He said his character wasn't referenced in the movie as he was part of a special team that was doing black ops that couldn't be revealed in the movie. He had a briefcase full of "mementos". He had medals in there, and what was supposedly an ear from a person in Mogadishu.
News articles on the web have him claiming that he served 6-10 years as a Navy SEAL

ACTUAL RECORDS
http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies1142.htm
http://www.pownetwork.org/pownet.secure/mason_robert_charles_andrews_2.pdf
The entries in the Mr. CHARLIE ANDREWS’ (aka Robert Charles Mason) record show him going from EOD Mobile Unit Mare Island, California to the Naval Special Warfare Center, Coronado, California for BUD/S Training on a “Permanent Change of Station” that means he was permanently sent to the unit (BUD/S) rather than temporarily being assigned for some brief/short course. Which means that if he is washed out of training or quits, he will then be transferred to another military unit at the Navy’s discretion. The dates aren’t provided, but you can see that his next stop after leaving BUD/S Training was Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE (ACB-1). That’s not a duty station where SEALs are assigned, but it is located on the same base where SEALs are trained and stationed.
The pages from his records have been physically trimmed so I can’t tell exactly what happened, but the man did not finish BUD/S Training and never became a Navy SEAL. The choices are limited: (1) he washed out for “Failure to meet performance qualifications”, or (2) he was physically injured and medically dropped from the course, or (3) he was removed from the training unit for some infraction, or (4) he elected to voluntarily quit (DOR Drop On Request).
The remainder of his time on Active Duty was spent with ACB-1 at the Amphibious Base in Coronado, from which he was ultimately discharged. As noted, while this is not a command where SEALs serve, it is located on the same base as SEAL Training unit and the west coast SEAL Teams.
This is one of the worst kind of offenders when it comes to SEAL imposters a man who actually earned a slot at the training unit and then didn’t finish for whatever reason and who has then gone on to use his “insider” information and experience to make his lies about being a SEAL more believable. He spent the remainder of his time in the Navy on the same base as the BUD/S Trainees and the SEAL Teams, and had all kinds of opportunities to watch the training, hang out with his old classmates, and add to his library of war stories for use later in life.
Let me reiterate my earlier statement:
Charlie Andrews aka Robert Charles Mason is not now and NEVER was a US Navy SEAL.
