Charlies Dodge wants you to know you can make six figures selling cars. They want to train you, and for only a refundable fee of 599.00. This job will be great, youll have all the toys you ever wanted. The money doesnt matter because the only way you lose it is if you decide to leave the job on your own before 90 days.

It doesnt really work that way however. You will be lucky to have one customer per day most weeks. Most times your customer is an 18 year old without even a part time job who will settle for nothing less than a Charger SRT8.

When you do sell youll discover that the new vehicles only pay a flat 100.00. You will also be required to split the sale with an experienced salesman, thus you just made 50.00 for that one sale you made in a week. Your only income is a starting salary of 400.00 per week that slides down to 300.00 per week after four weeks. This isnt the worste part though folks.

The training fee is collected by an outside company, then never really returned to you. You will be in a class starting with about 15 people, within three weeks you will be among about five classmates.

Ten people just lost 599.00 that wasnt really going to be refunded, Charlies likes to change their minds and tell you that you only get it back after 90 days of employment. You wont last that long however as they can decide to fire you because they dont like your shoes. They even like to run people off, our female classmate was chided about anal sex her first day on the floor, another 599.00 in pocket! Whats more they will keep promising lots of money in the job with weekly sales meetings, and training sessions.

They were generous to me. I got a great deal on a used car with low miles at employee cost. I of course traded my paid off car for this. Yeah I got a deal.

I was fired today because another employee didnt like the fact that I like to go hunting and own firearms. They overheard a conversation the previous day about a rifle I invested in several years ago that is now worth about 300% what I paid for it.

Other new employees were talking tough about getting their money back if fired (they had just discovered that no one got it back), one made a comment about smashing all of the windows out. I laughed and said it would be justice and and made a sales boast "not a windshield left, DISCOUNT!" I also joked that one could just report them to the KKK as Jewish red communist athiets. The day went on with no customer for me and I went home.

I was called into the sales office about an hour after arriving. The owner and co owner introduced me to two police officers who wanted to talk to me. I was told that I made unspecified threatening remarks to unspecified persons. I asked for a specific remark but was refused an answere. They referenced firearms ownership and windshields however and I was able to put it together.

I was blamed for the threat to destroy property made by another, and then was told that there was a big mass murder case recently. I asked what that had to do with me and was told that individuals had given them statements I supposedly made. I reminded them that they had just told me that my co workers were uncomfortable and that there was no known threat in specifics. They denied this and insisted that something specific occured and they had evidence.

I was about to ask to see it but thought better of it. I was presented with a paper to sign, then immediatly talked to by all 4 people instead of being allowed time to read it first. It was insisted that I sign, I have no idea what it said. I was also told that I couldnt be on the property for any reason. I kept insisting that I never intended violence toward anyone anywhere, thus the claims were grossly dishonest and unfair.

I was told that it wasnt up for debate and that it is assumed to be entirely true. (This because I bought a service contract with the car with service discounts). I was escorted out of the office by both cops and thought to look over at the tower. My coworkers were clustered around a salesmanager, one coworker with a grin on his face. I was escorted all the way to my car with my effects.

The police were obviously friends with the owners. Several comments were way off target. One cop joked "what if you said you would really like to have sex with a 13 year old girl, what would someone think?" My favorite was the reference to Jeffery Dalmer.

I now have no job. I would be lucky to get a job cleaning outhouses in Peru with that sort of firing. I have a car to pay for, a ruined reputation that will haunt me for many years and a service contract with a pack of coupons Im not allowed to use. Whats more I lose 599.00 for the experience. It would have been better to spend it at Disney World.

In short. Charlies Dodge has to be the most bloodthirsty employer in America. I want to see someone top that story.

The same people own the Nissan dealership up the road, and soon they will own several more dealerships on US 1. This means the same dishonest, greedy, scumbags will be selling you the public just about every make. Even more employees and consumers to drain, whoopie!

I have a few tips for customers of both stores.

Dont bother asking about the price of a used vehicle or how it was aquired, lead the sale by looking at the red sticker on the windshield. you will see the stock number on the top. Example: 8433P , the P means the vehicle was purchased. 8433A: The A means the vehicle was traded. The price is there too but most of you dont know how to read it.

Look at the series of numbers on the bottom. Example 4521598, subtract the first two numbers and the last two numbers to get the price. In this case it costs 21,500.00. This works for used vehicles only of course. Be wary of big pink sale tags too. You can really turn the place on its head when you discover the asking price on the red sticker is actually lower than the sale price. Ive seen this several times. Another thing that happens often is the sale tag will grow hands and feet, take itself off the mirror and scurry under the seat or wedge itself between them. That would be when the sale price is a good one most times.

Customers should also compare the asking price of a used car to that of a new one. A good example to mention are the Dodge Charger SE used vehicles. Most I saw were selling used for 21,900.00, a new one can be had for a bit over 22,000.00. Why not finance another thousand for the new one? You can bet that a 2007 Dodge charger SE with a 2.7 liter and 18000 miles on it wont get you anywhere near that much if you are selling it yourself.

Dont like the used cars at Charlies? Head over to Nissan, just turn left out of the parking lot and youll be there in no time. Those used cars belong to the same people, you will sometimes be told your salesman is going to a "storage lott", he is going to Nissan. Have a complaint? You will be introduced to a "floor manager", this is another salesman helping a co worker out. A trainee on the floor for the first day can be a floor manager.

Dont think asking for a sales manager will get you anywhere either. You might end up with the co owner and discover you were better off with the floor manager. With luck youll get a sales manager who might be helpfull. Most complaints about salesmen however are really things that are the owners fault, customers just assume the salesman is at fault because thats the only person they have spoken to.

Calling ahead about getting a good deal on a Nitro or a Caliber? Told to come on in? Know in advance that both models are pre discounted by Dodge and that you can expect to pay the listed price.

The salesmen working there really arent demons. The real works are with the sales managers and finance. The salesman is trying to eek out a living while working for two greedy scumbags who make all of the real money. Any problems you have are at fault of the owners, keep that in mind.

I liked my co workers, they were the only people I had time to talk to anyway. I can only assume that the owners wanted to let another one go and that someone thought they could garner some job security by helping drum up some BS. They probably knew Id be a pain in the but about my stolen 599.00 and needed to make me look bad. The most insulting thing about the claims made against me and the way I was let go was that no one ever bothered to see how I was doing, or gave me any indication that a single good word was put in for me while I was being dragged through the mud.

By now I assume the talk about me would probably include international arms sales to war torn African nations, several mass murders, and dead bodies in the basement I dont have attached to my dwelling.

I bought a job for 599.00 and the greedy bastards didnt deliver, whats wrong with this country when employers can charge people to work and change their minds about the rules of refund whenever they feel like it? Why are tax payers paying the Sheriffs dept to serve and protect con artists and frauds while many times not being represented equally? They were standing right there when I was denied my money, they never once threatened to arrest the only real criminals in the room. I have a good idea, business owners alone should pay the police all by themselves unless the police want to start working for everyone.
