Charlotte Gators, Nicole Benson Misleading Organization Charlotte, North Carolina
The Charlotte Gators organization is a waste of time. If you are looking for your son to play on a well organized travel basketball team that is ran by a professional, don't waste any time on the Charlotte Gators.
I dealt directly with several parents and coaches in this organization. The parents were lead to believe their money was going to be spent on travel expenses and beneficial tournaments for their sons. One month into the AAU season, the owner (Nicole Benson) started asking for more money and fundraising while eliminating the original schedule.
She presented a nice organization and even a budget but once she collected the money from the parents, things changed. The parents were not communicated with and she did as she pleased with their money. The parents were displeased and wanted to leave the organization. She refused to refund their money!
The organization is highly disorganized and corrupt.

I was reviewing this site to report a company and came across this posting from last year. I was apart of the Charlotte Gators and I felt the same way some of the parents. I was upset with what I was hearing so I reached out to Nicole Benson and we sat down and spoke. After speaking and seeing the communications between Mitchell and Nicole, it proved that she was doing exactly what was suppose to done. There were things being done and said by others parties that were not true. Sometimes we as people tend to be quickly judge someone off of other people's opinions and disfaction instead of actually seeking the turth and find out from the source exactly what is going on. '
I am happy that i spoke with her and saw the evidence (communications, receipts etc..) to rest my mind at ease that I had not been mislead or that she is out here to just take from kids. She was very open and unaware of alot of things that were said and going on behind her back. Everyone has to remember there is always 2 sides of the story and just because 1 person is saying this is happening does not mean it is always true until you have alll facts from both sides.
I wish her the best and much success in future endeavors.
