Complaint Review: Charlotte Gators

My son currently plays for the Charlotte Gators.  The parents and players never know what to expect next.  Everything changes from week to week without reason.  The owner and coach of the team is Nichole Benson.  She only communicates with us through e-mail and never involves us as parents unless it's about fundraising.

We came to the Charlotte Gators  because they were coached by my son's personal trainer who is a former college D1 and professional basketball player.  She soon decided that she would coach the team herself.  This change came suddenly and without any explanation.  We asked the former coach about the situation and he said he did not have an explanation either.

Our schedule has also changed multiple times.  We have been unable to plan our summer because everything is done at the last minute.  We were told that we had to volunteer this weekend with 2 days notice.  Practices are routinely cancelled and she calls at the last second to get our boys to play or volunteer for something. 

The part that really bothers me is the money situation.  Some of the parents on another one of the teams decided to leave the Charlotte Gators because they said she was stealing their money.  Our schedule has changed 6 times now at my last count.  We payed enough as a team to travel all over the country, but we haven't traveled to play anywhere yet.  She keeps trying to come up with different types of fundraisers for us to do even though our fee should have covered everything.  I am starting to realize that my son will not be playing in any of the tournaments first mentioned, and will not be traveling as we were first promised. 

This is my son's last year to play AAU travel basketball and we made the mistake of playing for the Charlotte Gators.  I'm posting on here so you don't make the same mistake we did.
