My wife and I went to one of those TENT SALES in Cape Coral, FL. My wife fell in love with a 2010 VW Routan minivan. Nice car with all the bells and whistles. After many fast talking salesmen, we signed on the dotted lines. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!! When we got home, my wife went to Kelly Blue Book on-line and found we were OVERCHARGED by NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS! When I called FRANK MILAZZO at CHARLOTTE HONDA/VW in Port Charlotte, he said that it
was just too bad for us!!

-------------DON'T GET SCREWED LIKE WE WERE!------------------

Use your smartphone to look-up Kelly Blue Book while you're THERE! Or better yet keep right on driving.

the person who wrote this garbage obviously needs a lesson on how to be a man. Sir, you went to a tent sale in cape coral because you were in the market for a new minivan. You found one your wife and yourself obviously found one you liked. You took the van on a test drive. You liked the color and All the,in your words,"bells and whistles". So you sat down with the salesman to work out a deal.

At this point you and your wife liked the van,you liked the dealership and the quality of the vehicles OR else you wouldn't have gotten to this point in the process. Between you, your wife and the so called "fast talking" salesman (in your words) You all came up with a deal that would work for YOU AND YOUR WIFE. Your WIFE and YOU obviously saw the value in the minivan YOU picked out.

YOU also figured the price of the van, down payment and monthly payment fit into YOUR finances and the van was worth it or YOU and your WIFE wouldn't have signed YOUR name to a contract (9) NINE TIMES. IF anybody signed a contract that many times and still think they got screwed is an IDIOT. I hope for your sake your children weren't there to observe YOU and your WIFE make a grown-up decision that you agreed too then try to slander the dealership as if it was their fault.

Grow a back bone sir and stop placing the blame on somebody else. How do you go from being a happy van buyer on the way home to blasting a reputable dealership (I bought my car from them) on this site only because you looked up your van on Kelly blue book which by the way is ONLY a tax guide. YOU should be ashamed of yorself!!If you can't make a decision and stand by it don't slander the people you deal with..They should sue You and Your wife

They do not apply to vehicles sold by dealers, they are just a guideline for private sales. Typically dealers will pay less than BB price, but sell for more.

You were not overcharged, you were charged exactly what they were selling it for.  A car dealer can sell a car for what ever price they want.  As you found out it is up to you to do your research BEFORE you sign on the dotted line not AFTER.

Use your smartphone to look-up Kelly Blue Book while you're THERE

- Great advise..but I hope you remember it applies to ANY dealer.

"Or better yet keep right on driving."

Or better yet, do your homework.
