Charter Communications and their agent, Circuit City - Have left caused me more aggravation in two weeks than anybody should ever have to expect to go through when trying to get service set up for your High Speed Pipeline Service. Circuit City, acting as your agent sold me a promotion for a 1.5 MB Pipeline Service @19.99 a month through April 30th, with a free install and a free Motorola modem after rebate, WOW ! what a deal this was to be had ! - NOT !

I was told I would be contacted within 5 days after signing service agreement and making my payment - did not happen at all. Then, when I dod call you all week long between Dec. 17th and Dec. 22nd , I was told you still have no order for me from Circuit City. On top of that, after I faxed a copy of my receipt from Circuit City showing the promotion I was to get ( faxed to your call center in Vancouver,Wa. ) I was told that there was no such promotion and that I could not have this promotion - period !

Now, finally a deal was made between Circuit City and Charter Communications for me to get the 2MB service with a $10.00 a month credit off of my bill for the 4 months of service, and when your installer shows up today - he tells me he cannot install the service because he needs a note from the condo owner to drill a freakin hole through the floor to install an outlet ! This is bery unfair to me and has caused me to become very angry with your company as well as Circuit City - who is acting as your agent, and making your company look bad all around as well. I have to laugh though, I just saw one of your commercials on the television that proclaims, " Whatever it takes , that's our commitment", or your money back.- I find that quote to be a JOKE !

Your company has left me miserable,angry and callous to your service level and competence. I am out about $1250.00 when you include the brand new computer that I bought from Circuit City, a cable modem, a router, and your service that I paid for in advance - not once, but twice ! that I dont have and cannot use. I want to see you uphold your commitment, your batting average is barely above that of Circuit City's and is declining every day I have contact with your company. To say that I am a unhappy customer is to put it lightly. I know now why people get so d**n mad at cable companies, and I should probably just disconnect my entire service account with you folks completely.

Signed with much disgust and anger,

Brian

I dont see how CIRCUT CITY is to blame for this problem or CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS. You hit the nail on the head with this statement;

"when your installer shows up today - he tells me he cannot install the service because he needs a note from the condo owner to drill a freakin hole through the floor to install an outlet !"

What gives you the right to think you can DRILL holes in other peoples property without their permission. You obvouisoly dont own the property where you live, so the installer was correct. He told you what you need to do;

"he needs a note from the condo owner"

So get over it. Also If you no longer want the service or are unable to have it installed for whatever reason, CHARTER should rebate you the money you paid in ADVANCE for service. However thinking that they should pay you for a BRAND NEW COMPUTER is STUPID. You made the choice to buy the computer & their is nothing wrong with it. You should have thought more clearly & checked things out first. Once again TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS !!!!!!
