I bought a 1997 Dodge Neon and Financed through Charter Oaks Federal Credit Union in Groton Connecticut. The loan was for $6400.00.This was in September 2001.In December of 2002 I moved to Ny and had terrible accident where my car hit black ice and hit a telephone pole. The air bag never inflated and I did contact Dodge and they never returned my calls or letters.I had the car towed to Corbys Collision in Lima Ny.The bank told me that they would take care of the car and that it was theirs now and that the insurance company would take care of it.

I tried to see if I could get the car and try to salvage it .Their exact words were "WALK AWAY THE CAR IS NOT YOURS ANYMORE".The insurance company only gave them $2400 and the car stayed at the collision center for 6 months.I got a bill for $2500 for a storage bill because the car was there for 6
months at $15.00 a day.

I contacted the bank and the collision center and the bank said I was responsible for that bill and also the balance on the car.I almost flipped because they said that they owned the car.I guess they figured that they would sick me with the bill.

Three more months went by and the collision center ended up selling the car with the lein still on it to Fugles Salvage Center in Livonia Ny for $100.00

The bank ended up getting a judgement against me for the car.

Now how is this fair that they ruined my life and my credit because they didnt want to give me the car that I paid on for 2 years .They should get the money from the collision center for selling the car.I spoke to lawyers at the firm that they hired until I was blue in the face .They wouldnt listen to anything I had to say. They got a judgement on me and I dont know how because I never got any paper work from anyone other wise I would have gone to court where someone would have to listen to me.
