On February 11, 2013 I called Patrick McClafferty of Chase auto group. In addition, I setup an appointment to test drive a black 2006 Lincoln navigator on 2/12/13 at 10:00am. When I arrived at my appointment I test drove the vehicle with no issues. Mr. McClafferty asked me what did I think of the vehicle and I told him that I liked to vehicle.

I then asked Mr. McClafferty how I could place a hold on the vehicle so that it is not sold. He responded by telling me with $500.00 I could hold the vehicle. I asked Mr. McClafferty if the $500.00 is refundable, he stated yes. I asked him if he wanted cash or credit. He responded credit because it would be easier to make the refund with the credit card machine. At approximatly 4:30 pm that same day, I asked Mr. McClafferty to refund my money in the amount of $500.00. Mr. McClafferty declined to refund my money and told me to seek a civil law suit.

Mr. McClaffery was aware that I was shopping for that vehicle because my previous owned car was totaled by a driver not on my insurance. He was also made aware that my insurance may not give me any money because the driver was not insured.

When I called my insurance they said that they may not give me anything for the truck at this time. So I wanted my money refunded because it would be difficult to finance two vehicles. Upon speaking to my insurance the next day they declined to give Mr. McClafferty any statement because my total loss money has nothing to do with the purchasing of a vehicle from Chase auto Group.
