After many trials and tribulations, I finally paid off CHASE AUTOMOTIVE FINANCIAL the balance for my 1992 Mercedes Benz in 2000. Free at last, free at last.

May 27, 2005, I had my first automotive accident, since being insured in 1968 by GEICO.

June 5, 2005, April at GEICO informs me the car is totaled, and that they needed CHASE to fax them the lien release, so that they could issue me a check.

June 5, 2005, Rocella Mitchell at CHASE agreed to fax GEICO the needed information the same day.

June 13, 2005, did not receive GEICO's check in the mail as promised. Called GEICO, informed that they didn't receive the lien release from CHASE.

June 13, 2005, called CHASE, informed can't fax the lien release because it's illegal. Not that its illegal to fax, but illegal for GEICO to use a fax copy instead of an original. WHAT?

The automotive financial company is, still holding a car that has been lien free for 5 years, hostage. Can someone please help me?
