I have contacted customer service for my Circuit City Visa through Chase Bank, N.A. on numerous occasions to request a lower interest rate and have been denied repeatedly with no explanation. Explanations are sent by mail only. Customer service does not have access to that information nor does the supervisor, which by the way is the highest level personel you can speak with. The higher ups do not accept calls. I find this unacceptable customer service.

I have good credit and pay my account on time. This is not the way you keep customers. I will be seeking alternatives to pay my account out and I will no longer carry a Circuit City Visa through Chase Bank USA, N.A.

I think your getting a little worked up over something the individual chase employee has no control over. 1st of all you know as well as anyone, if you call microsoft and demand to speak to Bill Gates, your going to get someone else. There's no way your speaking to him. So the so called" Higher Ups" are no diff. here. 2nd intereste rate reductions are given strictly on credit score basis, its not chase telling you no for, no reason, its your credit worthiness. CNN money magazine, sept. 2007---" if your credit score is 720 or above, then call your CC companies and ask for a lower rate, if you get them below 10% then your good". This is sound advice from a highly recognized financial mag. If its not above 720 then you prob. will have to deal. But my suggestion is not cancel it, because old credit looks good and it would be more of a hurt on your over all score to get rid of it.
