Chase Credit cards makes up lies as reason to cut credit limits in half. Chase sent me a letter stating my credit limit was being cut in half due to reasons found in my experian credit file.  They stated 1- Too few accounts paid as agreed. Bull! I have perfect credit with over 30 accounts paid as agreed and never late.  2-Balances are too high. Bull, of a total of 21,000 available credit on multiple accounts I only had a few thousand combined balances. 3- Credit line grew to quickly do to time. Bull ! I earned high credit lines over a ten year period with excellent payment history.  They made it all up.  I called to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission which was listed at the bottom of my Expierian file as the person to file a complaint with about a credit issuer or reporter that incorrectly uses credit information to take adverse actions against you.  They said many people were filing the same complaints that Chase just makes up false reaseons to close or slash your credit line.

I had filed a report with the "Federal Reserve", the Federal Reserve opened a complaint with Chase Bank, and I got my full credit line back.  They never did appologize for lying about it, but did restore my credit line back to the full amount.


I suggest everyone file a complaint with the Federal Reserve website if you want your line restored.

After Chase slashed my credit line, causing adverse action to my credit score for reasons it stated were  contained in my experian credit file,  I sent a letter to them stating the false reasons they made up and requested my credit limit be restored. Their reply was a letter thanking me for my recent request to raise my credit limit....What! They blew off my letter and tried to turn it into a new request???  The letter said to call as they needed more information to process my request. So I called, and made clear that I did not request a new credit limit increase, that I wanted them to recheck my experian file to see that the issues stated were not in my file.  The customer service agent said I had to mail or fax a copy of my credit file to them......What the....are they crazy? They supposedly pulled my file, so they should send me a copy of what they have. They report and can pull my file anytime they want, and they want me to send my life history to them in the mail?? There must be some law against them making up lies and making absured requests.  They just want me to give up and leave it alone. No a chance chase. I am filing complaints with everyone I can find.
